On Thursday, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced the jersey number for new wide receiver DK Metcalf. Metcalf wore No. 14 with the Seattle Seahawks but with wide receiver George Pickens already wearing that number, Metcalf had to switch it up to No. 4 with the Steelers.
Pittsburgh sent a second-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft to Seattle in exchange for Metcalf to give the Steelers one of the best deep threats in the NFL and a true No. 1 receiver to match up with Pickens. The two of them together form one of the most potent tandems in the NFL. Unfortunately, as of now they don't really have anyone to throw them the football who will be able to maximize all that talent.
Metcalf has worn No. 14 going all the way back to his time in high school as well as when he played at Ole Miss.
