Yet, during his 7+ year career in the bigs, he's pocketed nearly $8 Million...

And honestly, I LOVE the fact that he's a Dback, and not just because he's Italian!!

Ha! Noticed it after I posted... you know, that Italian emotion is tough to contain!

He has been incredibly clutch this season. Definitely a great signing for all of the little-big things he's done.

Campy was half Italian. 'Interesting to think that he wore a mustache during the off-season, but was forced to shave it off during the season. Imagine if he saw the long beards on the field today.

He had a great model railroad collection. It is a shame how his baseball career ended. The late Joe Black gave me his business card noted to visit Campy and Don Newcombe when I drove my kids to L.A. for a game at Dodger Stadium (before the D-backs).

Sadly, when we met Newk, Roy Campanella was in the hospital and passed away there. Campy and Berra were each 3-time MVP's between 1951-55 in the NL and AL.

BTW, you could have also mentioned Dom and Vince DiMaggio.
