Correct me if I'm wrong but Brady didn't exactly light it up in college and was benched in favor of Brian Griese.

Brady showed flashes & the ability to bring a team back from defeat several times in college. Thomas had 1 standout passing game in his 4 yr career. Nuff said. I saw him play numerous games at VA Tech & he was atrocious most of the time.

Isn't it alarming that BA didn't want to play the kid? I don't care if he's a rook, he took trash off another teams practice squad & played him for 3 games instead!!! If that's not a red flag I don't know what is NJC.

Really? He's a sixth round draft pick who was cut in training camp and spent the majority of the season on a different team forgetting our offense and learning theirs. We had no running game all season long and we were decimated by injuries when he was signed and even more so when he was named the starter. BASK sacrificed that dude to save LT knowing full well he didn't stand a chance. The guy deserves sympathy not a roasting. Let him go in peace. Seems like a good guy. I wish him well.

This. I have no ill will towards Lindley. He was asked to do more than he was capable of doing. I believe he gave it his best shot but it just wasnt good enough.

People are acting like he was a 1st round pick or high priced free agent.

You can't argue with him...he's right

Lindley now has 8 starts and was horrible in all of them. SF he played ok in one half, but back to who he was in the 2nd half.

Look at Lindley's stats ....and add to it the worst offense in NFL history in the playoffs.

He's flat out horrible

There isn't one argument that would justify Lindley on any NFL team.

To me, the issue is how he said what he said.

If he had said, "Look, Ryan Lindley just didn't produce what the Cardinals needed," that's fine.

But to mock him with an insult like that just wasn't cool. I can't think of many examples of pro athletes ripping their peers like this, outside of personal rivalries or something.

Lindley was in a very bad situation and for one of his peers to pile on like that was immature, imo. And I think you could feel the unease among the other hosts after he said that, too.

Hey Desean, how'd your season and PO's go?

"Depends on whether krepitch started me on his fantasy team each week. If he did, I got one catch for 13 yards. If he didn't, I had 150 yards and two touchdowns."

Given Griffins issues with injuries and the overall state of the team. Does Jackson have any right to talk about Lindley given that his own QB has a dodgy chance at best at seeing the postseason again?

His Pop Warner team must be pretty good.

Actually the Washington Redskins are a pretty bad team, someday they may be good enough to be called an NFL time, but for now I agree D.Jackson plays on a pop warner team.

How is RGIII doing ?

Well it's only fitting that this guy may be a back up in Washington one day if AZ decides to cut him. So that means he will certainly be the starting qb for them sooner or later. That's why you don't bash your nfl brethren on social media.

Lindley won't be on another NFL roster.

I wish him well, but he has absolutely NOTHING you look for in a NFL QB. except (sadly) ... Playoff experience lol.

In all fairness, it was his first foray into the playoffs that ultimate led to his problems. I honestly believe that Mike Shanahan ruined this kid. I still think RGIII has the chops to be a great QB. He just needs to get away from Raiders east.

RGIII spends more time on social media in a week than Tom Brady and Peyton Manning have in their entire careers combined.

You know you are a homer if you defend Lindley. Giving him a start in a playoff game is one if the most embarrassing events in NFL history. The offense futility record that was broke went back to the 1940s where games were frequently decided 6-3. His lack of production was not a surprise so there are no excuses. Between the Cardinals and the PI flag pick up this past weekend was one of the worst two days in NFL history. Combine that with the NFL commissioner incompetence and deceit regarding Rice and this was one of NFL's worst years ever. The problems with concussions and the rules being muddled to the point that they are not consistently enforceable calls into question the future of the NFL. They better get busy cleaning house. They need to restart with a total review of rules and officiating with a goal of simplifying the rules to where they are understood and easily enforced and stop trying to micro-manage player behavior on and off the field.

Based on those credentials he'll fit right in as a backup and eventual experimental starter in wash.

Can someone explain to me why people are mocking and clowning Jackson when all of you have been saying the same thing or worse about Lindley?

It's ok for you to say it but not DeSean Jackson?

There's nothing wrong with it and there's nothing wrong with mocking he and the Redskins either because their qb situation is worse than just about anyone. At least Lindley is a playoff qb thanks to his franchise that is much better than wash.

That's ridiculous, like you said nobody can actually disagree with what he said because it's true.

Tim Tebow was a playoff QB too.

If the Redskins had the Cardinals defense, they probably would have made playoffs as well. You can't act like Jackson is the reason for them being garbage.

So was Trent differ and brad Johnson.

Jackson is one of the few good things about Washington. Their problem isn't with the good players thay have suited up for them. My point is more why talk noise when your team or qb isn't among the best and lindley is playing due to unfortunate circumstances.

Where he went in the draft is irrelevant. The guy doesn't have it. You can't give Tom Brady credit for being a sixth round draft pick and bucking the odds, while simultaneously saying RL should get a break because he was drafted in the same round. If you can play in the league, you can play. RL flat out can't and cost us a chance to get back in the game, not win mind you, but give his team a chance, something I can not forgive him for. His learning a different playbook does not explain his penchant for not putting the ball where it should be, and not deciding to throw a pass 5 seconds after the receiver is open.

I see no reason to defend RL in the least. DeSean happens to share the same sentiment as many others, he just happened to have a mic in front of him to express it. I was ready to simply let 14 stink it up and ride into the sunset, but then he had to go and put on display exactly why he is so terrible, and throw a pass I believe ANY qb in the NFL whether 1st, 2nd, or 3rd string will not throw in that situation, causing scores of Cardinal fans across the country to tear their hair out. Be clear, I do not hate Lindley as a person, only as it pertains to wearing my teams' uniform. He is judged by me solely on that basis. And yes DeSean is an idiot. That much we can agree on. LOL.
