Except there's no risk since he's signed as a bottom end of the roster player replacing Sims. If he sticks great, if not, nothing lost.

Some guys take a few years to get going, and once he did his future looked bright. Most Packer fans viewed him as their best ILB, and this was on a Super Bowl team with a very good defense. Then he tore his achilles, and lost his spot due to injury and then signed with the Vikings where he subsequently tore his ACL.

No one knows for sure what the team knew about Washington's situation, but I know that outside of a few players, I doubt anyone would've helped right away.

Whoever he'd have beaten out is the one who goes. They won't keep 5 ILB's. I'd expect Alexander to stay, if he's healthy, because he can play ST's well and was also used on the outside last year. If I had to guess, Demens is the on who should be worried.

Also, alot of times teams bring a guy to see what he has left, and how he fits, just in case they need somebody for an injury replacement during the year.

Wow. I feel that, considering the way the Cardinals have scrambled for ILBs, that there is no way this does not get addressed round 1 of next year. Or am I just still panicking from the Dansby/Washington loss?

I still believe in the potential that Minter has but I really hope we see more from the ILBs as a whole in these next few preseason games.

Next year will depend upon whether they think DW has straightened out his life. Minter and DWash would be a pretty formidable duo, imo. OLB would seem to be a greeter need. And of course in the first round, we only go BPA.
