We have 3 stud WRs ahead of him so we use him in a hyper specific role that has proven valuable in several games. He's had a ton of fantastic plays in the short passing game this season and has consistently turned nothing into something. Do you actually think he's not good just because we haven't been throwing him the ball that much lately? You realize how many good pass catchers we have right? Not all of them are going to put up numbers every game, its literally impossible. Do you want us to bench Kirk for him?
Getting him the ball isn't the problem. He is second on the team in receptions. Doing something with those receptions is the issue. He is obviously getting those catches on extremely short routes, but if he was a truly dynamic receiver, he would probably have broken a catch for longer than 11 yards in his last 7 games. He could also easily run deep routes with Kirk, but he isn't for some reason. He didn't really in college, either. It's odd.
Also, if there is too much talent ahead of Moore for him to produce, why take him in the second round? Why not take a guy like Azeez Ojulari who was taken 1 pick later and would fill a big need as a situational pass rusher (he has 8 sacks this season)? This team isn't talented enough to redshirt high draft picks. Much less two in the same year.
