The New England Patriots signed Christian Elliss to a two-year $13.5 million deal to match the Las Vegas Raiders' contract offer for the restricted free agent linebacker.

The breakdown of the contract was confirmed by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

Elliss is coming off a 2024 season that saw him emerge as a key component of the linebacker room. He recorded 80 tackles, a forced fumble and an interception. His contributions came at the perfect time for a Patriots linebacker unit hampered by injuries throughout the season.

Eliss will be a returning face on a Patriots team that has undergone a dramatic makeover. From coaching changes to personnel moves, the Patriots have been hard at work to right the wrongs they've made in recent years.

Compensation update: Linebacker Christian Elliss’ new deal with the #Patriots is for $13.5M over two years, per sources.

The Patriots have added Harold Landry III, Robert Spillane, Jack Gibbens and K'Lavon Chaisson to the linebackers unit in free agency. Getting Elliss back in the mix should be an added spark for a Patriots team that hasn't won more than four games in three years.
