Defender purposefully batted ball out of bound without possession.

i wondered about that when I saw it. i mean, that was as purposeful a bat out of bounds as possible. that means, the Lions should have gotten the ball back?

was it a TD?

The NFL office & ref in the booth just said it's a penalty when you intentionally bat the ball out of the end zone, thus negating the fumble. He said it should been Lions balls first & 10 on the 6 inch line

Dean Blandino has some 'splainin' to this week regarding refs and NFC West games.

The problem I have with the non call is that Blandino is could be on the phone with refs from NY & has already admitted the mistake, so why can't he communicate the error down to the field & get it fixed.

It's just a joke, you think the calls we didn't get would have happened to the pats or Hawks... Hell no the NFL has teams they want to win, then the rest of us who get shafted with apology letters that don't make up for handing is losses!!

No surprise that Seattle gets the home field calls, while the cards get absolutely hosed at home. This stupid game felt like 2 losses for the Cardinals this weekend. Ugh

Yeah, I really felt that after the refs screwed up picking up the flag on John Brown's late hit and the crowd booed them to no end, that was a nice little "F - U" on the forward progress BS. The fix was in, what a horribly called game.

Just wish Megatron held onto the ball. At least this shows the Seahawks O line and their offense is not strong (obviously without Lynch. Guessing his injury is worse than reported). Cards need to get back on track next week and against the Browns. 2 road games we must win

Is there a bigger un-clutch receiver in the league?

Exactly!!! It's maddening the NFL doesn't wanna get it right. Replay everything like the college game does or do away with it.

I'm waiting for that day that in the final mins of the SB, one of these clowns drop the ball on a rule & a team loses the Lombardi Trophy over it, it's coming.

I didnt know where to put this so I thought I would add it to this thread. Doesn't the above hit seem like it should be illegal? I thought spearing was not allowed anymore...

agreed. wondered about it when I first saw the play, but on really play, I thought he clearly lowered his shoulder purposefully to lower the boom.

is it just me... or do we not have the punishing hitters that the Rams/Hawks do? I can remember three or four plays alone where our guys got crushed by the Rams (not even counting the late hits). People will probably say Bucannon is that hitter, and while he's solid, I don't see him crushing people out there like those Ds do.

He would be making those hits on WRs if he was playing SS and not ILB :)

Bet that is the offseason talk and then using it in the preseason (like the extra point this year). I don't care if the game takes an extra 30-45 min to get the game right. Football, unlike baseball, can go extra time and people won't get bored. I sure hope we see ALL plays reviewable (at least allow coaches to use challenges, even on PI non calls). IMO
