If we lose against them but the game is tight, I will have no fears about Stanton as our starter to get us into the playoffs and then have a shot. The main problem is that Detroit has a talented and violent DL and once a guy gets a concussion, it seems to linger and they are more prone to get another. We simply cannot not roll with the unready Logan Thomas. This Lions team will let us know all we need to know about the state of the team without Palmer. I am coming to believe that Arians is one of those master positive thought guys who can actually believe victory into reality lol

I have watched alot of them. They are poorly coached, have weakness in the back 7, and no running game. We are taking them to Pound Town.

Biggest issue is keeping Suh off of Stanton. We do that reasonably well (3 sacks or less) they cant hang with us.

Guys team outside of our division are NOT physical enough, and cant score enough against Bowles with only a week to prepare.

It is written. Lets hope nothing crazy happens this game to get to 9-1 and THEN the big boy game come ups. @Seattle.

Weirdly I feel like Stanton might be the better fit for that game based on Palmers propensity to throw picks. Well see.

I don't think this team can take anyone to pound town... but I DO think we will win. somehow.

he's gonna be up for it regardless. with a weak FA QB market next off-season, he's got 7 games (hopefully more) as an audition for his next team. this is his shot.

He's not a free agent until 2016, and Arizona won't trade him

JG , I will give you that the Lions have talent on their squad , but I like our chances . I took a peep at their schedule to see how they got to 7 and 2 , and it looked like this .

Home --- Giants --3 & 6 --- W

At ----- Panthers -- 3 & 6 & 1 --- L

Home --- Packers -- 6 & 3 --- W

At ------ Jets ------ 2 & 8 --- W

Home ---- Bills ------ 5 & 4 ------- L

At ------- Vikes ----- 4 & 5 --- W

Home ---- Saints ---- 4 & 5 --- W

London -- Falcons --- 3 & 6 --- W

Home --- Dolphins --- 5 & 4 --- W

Battle Tested should count big time for our Cards !!!

This could be a low scoring game. Suh is going to be disruptive up the middle. So, Stanton will have to pass quickly. But, I have have confidence that our D will be more disruptive. I say Cards by 3 or 4 points.

It could be argued that this is an anomaly and 2 of those 3 came in the last 3 games… For his career he has shown an ability to throw them in bunches at times. I see his point although In a small sample size Palmer has been doing better.

Patrick Peterson can't stay with Calvin Johnson by himself. Matter of fact, there's not a single DB in the National Football League who can guard Calvin Johnson 1 on 1.

If the Cardinals don't double team, maybe even triple team Calvin Johnson, it will be a long day for Arizona.

I don't think Bowles is stupid, he's not gonna leave single coverage on CJ.

This game is huge......lose, and both teams are 8-2...with Detroit holding the head to head tie breaker........ on the surface,...8-2 is great....as Cards fans we all should be able to relish and appreciate that.
without Palmer we lose leadership, experience, and physical ability.....the absolute best physical trait Stanton brings is this......

he cannot overthrow downtown John Brown.....Palmer has a couple times...

I like Stanton....best backup QB we have had in about,....hmmmm,....if not an age, at least ever. He protects the ball very well, throws a good deep ball and makes good decisions,...and has a bit of mobility. He is just missing something basic....like making the routine throw look easy and thereby completing 60+% of his passes.

on the practice field, one Logan Thomas will now move up to second team reps,....and likely get a metric **** ton of one on one training with Carson Palmer to boot. We will see that kid on the field again soon,.....if even only for a few plays or a series of downs. The staff needs to feel him out, see if the game is slowing down for him.
The question I ask myself is,....will 11-5 get us home field advantage throughout,...and I do not think so.....but 12-4 might....

make no mistake Cardinals fans...... the playoffs for this team, have started already.

The Lions Cream-Puff schedule will catch up with them this Sunday .
We will be the first (current standings) at least 7 wins team for them , they will be the forth (current standings) at least 7 wins team for us . BA will game-plan around Stanton , and we will win this game .
