Outfielders continue to join the Detroit Tigers.
The Tigers acquired Brewer Hicklen from the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday afternoon in exchange for cash considerations.
The 29-year-old — a right-handed hitter who slugged 22 home runs and stole 44 bases in Triple-A last season — is experienced in all three outfield positions, but he primarily plays the corners.
Hicklen has been assigned to Triple-A Toledo.

The Tigers placed right-hander Ty Madden on the 60-day injured list to create room for Hicklen on the 40-man roster. Madden is dealing with a rotator cuff strain in his right shoulder.
Hicklen was designated for assignment Thursday by the Brewers, meaning he would've landed on waivers for the other 29 teams to claim had the Tigers not acquired him in a trade.
In 2024, Hicklen hit .246 with 22 home runs, 61 walks (12.2% walk rate) and 139 strikeouts (27.9% strikeout rate) across 115 games in Triple-A Nashville, with 44 steals in 49 attempts. He made 87 starts in right field, 12 starts in left field and two starts in center field.
Hicklen has played nine games in his MLB career: six games for the Kansas City Royals in 2022 and three games for the Brewers in 2024. He is 0-for-9 with eight strikeouts in nine plate appearances.
In the past five days, the Tigers have added three outfielders to their organization: Hicklen in a trade from the Brewers, Manuel Margot on a one-year, $1.3 million contract, and Ben Gamel on a minor league contract.
While Margot joined the Tigers, both Gamel and Hicklen are on the Triple-A Toledo roster as outfield depth.
But Hicklen is on the 40-man roster.
The Royals selected Hicklen in the seventh round (No. 210 overall) of the 2017 draft out of UAB. He is a .245 hitter with 60 home runs and an .834 OPS in 317 games at the Triple-A level, with 100 stolen bases in 110 attempts.
