Cormier blows a 7-3 lead and the Marlins still hitting in the 8th. I hate it when a pitcher has a big lead and he walks guys. And I thought the bullpen could pitch effectively for two games in a row.

7-3 lead is sure enough for most teams, but not for this bullpen. Gonzo striking out with the bases loaded and one out really hurt.

I always liked that McCracken guy.

I'm guessing the Takatsu rumors will heat up him being DFA'd and Cormier/Valverde throwing volleyballs although I'm thinking hitters have figured out Mr. Zero's stuff. It's worth a try IMO but I'm not optimistic considering his flyball pitching and lack of control this year. But you never know, changing leagues can sometimes do wonders.

How can Melvin bat Hill in the 8th? I would of taken my chance with Clark and seeing if they would of pitched to him. You just knew Hill was not going to get a hit. I wonder what Melvin was thinking? I assuming Stinnett was available.

Stinnet was put on the DL today, making room for Hill. Regardless of whether they would have walked Clark or not, the issue would have been the team having nobody to catch.

The team is mediocre at best. They don't have a single area that I can really identify as a strength.

Hitting - mediocre
Starting Pitching - mediocre
Relief Pitching - not mediocre, unfortunately

Fielding - mediocre I thought this would be better but Glaus is a liability. How many bunt singles has this guy given up? Gonzo is slow weak arm.

On their best day this is a mediocre team. On their worst days they are one of the worst teams in baseball.

There are some who think Snyder is a major league catcher. The guy has shown nothing. Why he and Cruz are playing is beyond me.
