There are some who think Snyder is a major league catcher. The guy has shown nothing. Why he and Cruz are playing is beyond me.

There are also people who think they both are pieces of crap......

I think the Diamondbacks need to seriously think of trading Javy If they know they won't be able to sign Javy, then I would trade him for some young arms.

Webb is a mystery. He has looked awful recently and I wonder if this is the real Brandon Webb?

I thought Vasquez is under contract for the next several years?

I'm a little hazy on the exact rules but here goes: Vazquez can demand a trade at the end of the season (very likely) and if the DBacks are unable to trade him (for significantly lower value than we'd get at the deadline), then he would become a free agent.

That's right - because he was traded in the middle of a multi-year contract he can opt out after the first season with the new team - there are additional restrictions in terms of how many times a player can do this in a career, etc. It's basically a one-time escape clause for a player who has no other control over a trade (not a 10-and-5 guy). It has widely been rumored from day one that Javy would use this option unless we wowed him. Of course, not that he's wowed us. I'm honestly not sure what he's worth - I'd think as much as guys like Burnett or Schmidt who are similarly inconsistent.

When asked by the media a few weeks ago he's said he likes it here, nice guys on the team, family likes the city so far but its a long way to get home to PR, and he will decide at the end of this season.

Is it me - or do the Diamonbacks only get hits with 2 outs? It seems that every time I look up at the score when the D-Backs are up, we already have 2 outs. Maybe, we when it is our turn at the plate, we automatically have two outs against us... hmmm...:thud:

Also, to have Glaus say that this team is close to competing - what has he been smoking?

EVERYone is a competetor in the NL West. we're only 4.5 out now. A small win streak (i know, i know, asking for a lot) could make the difference.
