Vicente Padilla has pitched badly this year. He was hurt a lot of last year and is either still hurt or can't get his mechanics back. His heavy moving sinker isn't sinking much.
Randy Wolf also was hurt last year. He pitched badly in April but has rebounded to a nice 3.20 ERA in May. He has always pitched the D-Backs well.
Brett Myers has been awesome. A young pitcher finally coming into his own. Corey Lidle is steady.
My hopes is to get into the D-Backs bullpen. Fortunately the Phillies lead the NL in OBP and I believe pitches seen per at bat. They are very patient, which should help in getting to the pen.

That according to the Dbacks official site, however, with the forecast for tomorrow there is still a high possibility that both those games could be indeed postponed as well....
Isn't this the first time the Dbacks have been rained-out all year thus far?

This is perfect, a double header to watch while I chaperone my daughter's 14th birthday pool party. May be some of her young suitors will even want to "rap" about baseball as well.

We're only 2 out man! We need this series bad! What kills me is how we're in the hunt, yet still in last place. How that happened after our play last month is beyond me, but I'll take it! Kenny Lofton coming back has been huge IMO.

Well.. I guess the Dbacks deserved being swept.... Inept hitting with RISP and some rather inexcusable play-calling at unopportune times... Just not properly executing the fundamentals whatsoever.. Also, the BP was shoddy today in not keeping the games as close as they could have been.... Just an horrid all-around display by the Dbacks... Let's hope that they manage to put an immediate hault to their 4 game losing streak with a much needed victory tomorrow and a series equailizer on Monday......

Geez. I can't believe Gonzo ended the game by having such a senior moment.

With that big a difference between runs scored and runs allowed, the expected record would be 24-32. The D-Backs have thus played with a lot of luck thus far.
Regression to the mean and all that.

It has more to do with 6 or 8 total blowouts - like the huge run differential in the first Cubs game. We've had a number of one-run wins and 8-10 run losses.

It wasn't a home run but it doesn't really matter.
This team is really struggling. They've lost 4 straight series and don't seem to be going anywhere.
What's really frustrating is the way they're losing. The score runs they can't make outs. The make outs they can't score runs? They're making stupid plays?
