12-8 - not too shabby. So far the off-season moves are looking pretty solid.

Another solid win. I predicted some very bad things about this pitching staff befoe the season and they're making me look pretty stupid right now. Last night was the type of game you're looking for in you're #1 starter. 110 pitches and 9 Ks in 8 innings is huge considering our middle relief.

Speaking of middle relief, the return of Valverde and Aquino is extremely, extremely important for this team. As a matter of fact, the successful return of these guys could mean the difference between the playoffs and being home in October if the rest of the staff holds up. And in the meantime, if Bruney, Koplove, and Choate keep up their circus act I'm all for bringing up the retread crew of Kerry Lightenberg and Darren Oliver to be a stop-gap.
