No comments on a great game? Dbacks come back from 3 down to win 4-3. Pena got the save. I believe Haren got the win - he ended the top of the 7th down 3-1 but the DBacks went up 4-3 in the bottom of the inning. Byrnes got off the schnide by hitting a solo homer, plus added an RBI in the 7th. Upton had a great play to throw out Ordonez at second after a single. Great defense all around. Good win. Scherzer goes tomorrow. Tough lineup for him to face.

Nice win. Good to finally see Byrnes produce. Maybe he can get it going.

Byrnes changed his intro music back to "Jump" I attribute that to his 2-3 performance :raccoon:

Battle of the rookie pitchers today: Armando Galarraga vs Max Scherzer.

Should be a good match-up. Hopefully we can continue to hit well at home.

Anyone know why Byrnes didn't get the start today?

Three walks to load the bases with nobody out. The Diamondbacks need to do something here.

D-Backs went flat tonight. Didnt deserve to win, although Sherzer pitched ok.

They deserved it because all the runs Max gave up were unearned. If CoJack doesn't mess up that groundball, the Diamondbacks win.

Also, what in the world was Hudson thinking on that bunt? No excuse for that at all. Moreover, why is Melvin having the #3 guy in the line-up bunting?

CoJack's defense has undoubtedly cost this team a couple of games already this season.

Also, that bunt was a stupid decision by Bo Mel and for Hudson to not run it out was just a gigantic brain fart on his part.

Further, I think Byrnes is still in a funk even though he had a good game last night. He should not have been swinging for the fences against Todd Jones in the 9th

Because Hudson is a #2 hitter whom Melvin has batting third.

What a heads-up play by Pudge Rodriguez. Even with trying three times to pick up the ball, he turned a popped up bunt into a double play.

Doesn'tl Hudson head up the D'backs kangaroo court? He'll be on the receiving end this time.

And finally, I appreciate that Conor Jackson is driving in runs in the cleanup spot (without falling into the trap of trying to hit every ball into the seats).

But what does it take for him to stop being so nonchalant in the field? It's not a question of skill. It's one of attitude. Enough is enough, Conor.

What a way for Hudson to prove he is worth the kind of money he demands... Also CoJack WTF? Oh well, at least the free Trace Atkins concert was fun.... ... ... :sarcasm:

Went to the game last night and finally got to see the new scoreboard up close. It's huge! I like that it tells you the last 3 plays and the B S O is really big so you can't miss it.

Mental note: never, ever get seats in SEC 303 for an early start. The sun was beating down on that section and we couldn't get to our seats until mid-4th inning. Otherwise, we would've fried. Good thing we didn't miss much since it was still scoreless

Base running blunder by Upton cost us a run in the 4th.

Great effort by RJ today. He pitched seven shutout innings while striking out five. The big hit was by Young. I was hoping Byrnes would get it going but at least Reynolds was able to get a couple of hits. Maybe he can get it going.

Byrnes is still struggling bad

I saw something different the last 3 games. He is not swinging at everything and today, he may of been 0 for 3, but he did not strikeout, he had a few deep pitch count AB's and drew a walk. He is starting to come around. In the Tigers series he was 2 of 7 with a HR and 2 walks and ZERO strikeouts. Getting on base 4 out of 9 times sounds pretty good to me, which by the way is a .444 OBP. I think we are about to see a real hot Byrnes here real quick.
