When Josh was mic'd after a touchdown and he was bragging up a storm to Kurt Warner and Warner said "I'm so happy for you"....is it just me or did he sound like he was just wanting him to shut up.

Hey Josh had a great game after he settled down, but it just seems like he's not that mature and acts like a kid in high school. I think that says a lot about his confidence, how much he lacks it.

If he could get over that and just believe that he can be great I think he would have a much greater chance of keeping the job.


I don't know how to say this, but I'm kind of a big deal....

I have heard a few people mention it. But to me, it really isn't an issue. Josh and Kurt are very good friends (and where friends before Kurt even signed here). Kurt proburbly was happy for him. But I bet it was killing him to be on the sidelines, having to watch and not playing.

I saw the same thing and honestly, Josh is annoying.

I think he needs to grow up a bit here. He needs to realize that he's in a high profile position and that when you do well it makes others nervous period.

I think Kurt was a little nervous and annoyed and some dufus bubbling over as about anyone would be.

He's lucky it wasn't Brett Farve or he would have teased Josh mercilessly.

Theisman even commented on it, like ok act like you belong in your position and aren't just a kid at Xmas.

I'll give Josh the benefit of the doubt this time for all he's been through but he needs someone to tell him what it means to be a QB on and off the field and quickly.

I just think of how ironic it would be for McCown to have a great game against the Panthers... He would show Green he made a bad choice last year in a desicion that could have contributed to the downfall of the season... Good luck Josh... Remember your comments to not forget how this feels...

That's my point though, even though he had the TD it was like he still didn't have any confidencem and was throwing out some SERIOUS fishing line to Kurt for some comment. It didn't seem like he really started to get some confidence until very late in the game when he was telling his team "don't forget what this feels like next week". I hope that leads to some better throws early next week.

He probably didn't have any confidence. His appearance last week against the Seahawks (with a 30 something QB rating) was horrible. He may have felt he was one of the reasons for losing the game as the Cards were only down by a point when he came in the game.

Hard to know exactly what he's thinking, but we all know he's been on a rollercoaster ride from beating the Vikings and being pronouced a starter be Denny, being bench last season after almost reaching .500, and then watching the team sign Warner, basically saying he's not their guy. Not saying the Cards didn't do the right thing, but you have to understand where his head might have been.

I think he'll be better next week at home at SDS.

I, for one, was never a fan of the Kurt Warner signing. I believe that with McCown taking the snaps given the current state of our O-line, we are a better team. I know we played against the Niners, but they gave the Rams hell in St. Louis. They aren't the best team in the league, but their O can score. Our D held them scoreless for the night. Pretty damn impressive!!!

Me and a buddy were both in aggreement that they should never mic up McCown again. Every time they played a sound bite it made him sound worse. Hey coach, did you see how good I did? Hey Kurt, look how good I did. You know what's really hard? Throwing those touch passes.

He played very well but he sounded like a country bumpkin/annoying little brother.

Of course they are. Think about how much you grew from age 20-25. I'm only 27, but I see a major difference in myself now from myself 7-8 years ago.

A lot of the growth comes from being thrown into the real world. These guys went right from college to the NFL. They went from mom & dad paying for everything to the NFL paying for everything. They're made out to be gods by fans before they're even really men. They don't have that growing up period the rest of us had. Of course they're going to be immature and have differences in personality from the rest of us.

They don't live in the real world.
