Many teams have a philosophy on what positions should comprise a larger % of the cap then other positions. A constant on most teams is the D-line. Some teams go with LB's because of scheme or existing talent on the team.
Just about every team would go QB, DE, CB, LT as the top priorities. It's all about the passing game.
FB's never make big money.
TE's rarely make big money.
WR's can make big money but some teams won't pay huge dollars for this position.
RB's make big money if they are perceived as future hall of famer's.
Guards and centers are often given average money or less.
Of course there are exceptions to this but on average they are accurate. I bet Russ knows where to get the average salaries at all of the positions.
I don't think Bryants cap hit is really that high. Does someone have that figure? Robertson or Kennedy paired with Bryant could make our LB's look like super stars.
So if Suggs and Leftwich are gone then grab Robertson or Kennedy. Let's get one area on the D-line set with top talent.
