How would this impact the salary cap?

Essentially...

...if we took this deal we would have traded Leonard Davis for a "meaningless" win over the Vikes...

Ridiculous trade, but giving this year's first and next year's wouldn't surprise me.

Better yet...

We give them Quan, Leonard Davis, Shipp, McCown, and a ton of cash, for their number one. How does that sound, San Diego?

The #1 pick usually has a huge price tag for anyone wanting to move up...

That being said, IMO, San Diego has to go OL or QB. Marty needs to win now, maybe that means OL.

However, I would not be surprised to see Anthony Clement and our #1, with addional picks to SD for the #1 overall and Manning.

You don't get rid of a guy like Davis who can be a Pro Bowl player for 10+years...you light a fire under his a**. I think Coach Green is the man to do it.

I'm sure that the Cardinals can find a stud at #3 even if both QB's are already selected. Moving up to #1 doesn't make any sense. We have enough holes to fill and giving away draft picks should be the last thing on our mind.

How about they give us the #1 - we give them #3 and tell them us Zonies won't come over there during the summer?

They are trying to see if we are as stupid as they were when they did something similar a few years ago......was it the switching around so they could assure themselves that they would get Leaf? You don't trade Davis under any circumstances and besides Green loves big offensive lines and has plans for him!

In either TSN's Mock or in nfldraftblitz's 1st 3 rounder(I forget now), they acknowledge that we hold the "keys" as to the how the whole 1st round will unfold........whether we stay put at #3 and take a QB or a WR or trade down and how far and what it will do to who does what. Powerful position isn't it.

I'm with you maddog. I believe Ben will be there. If not we have many other options. San Diego wants to trade with us because they believe the same thing.

Regardless of how well or not well Leonard has played since he's been here, he purely and simply is the most physically talented and potentially dominant player we have on the entire team (including the legendary super hero Q).

Do not even write down his full name when this trade is discussed.

Blasphemy!

Cesmat is a real authority on the Cardinals.

I heard MJ say that on his show today and his voice sounded about the same as somebody quoting the National Enquirer about a news story.

The comment was, "San Diego would trade their #1 for our #1 and Leonard Davis"? OF COURSE THEY WOULD! You don't even need to talk to the Chargers to verify that. What a stooge. That's like saying, "The Cardinals would trade their #1 to Indy for their #1 and Peyton Manning.". Somebody slap Cesmat with a fish please.

Insane. We should get one of the top two at our 3rd position and I really do not care which one it is.

Green already said he doesnt draft for need but the best available. I bet we get Taylor. He is the best athlete bar none. And he does play one of the "down the middle" positions.
