unless I am missing something..I think there are better guys out there if you want an old guy..I think Johnnie Morton, crowell, antonio freeman would be better..so would frank sanders..

Johnnie Morton isn't available.

Crowell is done.

Antonio Freeman is an ok player, but a headcase.

If I had my druthers, I would bring in Freeman, but I'm not in charge. :D

I'm still hopeful for Frank.
And a lot fo that has to do with the type person he seems to be, as well as a leader.
We are running out of options for DE and WR help...... down to hoping for something after 1 June, which isn't much of a plan.
But, if the guys don't want to play here.... what else can you do?
Side note.... I would like to see something happen after June 1 or through FA, than count on a draftee, always a crap shoot there...

Actually..the only thing I remember about tony martin is from when he played for atlanta in the super bowl..He is 38 years old I think..hopefully if we do sign him it is not to be a #1..that would be scary..

I assumed we are flat not interested in morton or crowell (I thought morton was available)..for sullivan coached both before and we would have gone after them..

Ya those are not great stats. He would only be a 3rd down guy like Frank... I hope we get Frank back.

Where did I get that Johnnie morton was available? I see he signed a 7 year deal in 2002 with the chiefs..was there a rumor he was going to be cut? I know I read somewhere that if the receiver from the rattlers (horn I believe) makes the roster they will have to cut a receiver or two..but it would be one of their younger guys..

Sounds to me like it's "grasping at straws." This guy is , literally, a has been, and he hasn't been for quite a while, although he did have some good years with the Dolphins.

Why on earth would they even waste their time bringing him in?

First I hear we're thinking of drafting Larry Johnson then this! Please tell me he's going to intern as a WR coach or something - if we're seriously going to offer this guy anything above a vet. minimum contract I'm going to scream.
