Hold on a second. He violated drug testing by testing positive for adderall, then claimed the drug testing was ill-begotten, thus rendering him innocent of taking adderall. Yet, he goes and admits it. And we're suppose to say that's ok, he's a stud. Doesn't this beg the question, "How would he play without adderall, a performance enhancing drug?"!!!!

He's a prick in all things NFL-related, but he's a great guy off the field.

Adderall isnt a radioactive spider that grants super powers.

It helps with focus, it doesnt make you faster or stronger. With your argument, any of us could take some adderall and become NFL superstars.

With or without drugs, Sherman is an extremely talented CB. It doesnt matter.

My god you are so freaking clueless. It is a prescription drug that if not used for the right reason can have ill effects on the person and can become dangerous. That is why the NFL has put it on their list of banned substances. Stop acting like you know everything because some of the garbage you spew can be dangerous if someone actually listened.

By the way, you have now condoned smoking pot while driving and recreational use of Adderall. I think someone may have a problem.

Adderal isnt performance enhancing in the light of something like steroids. Would you be upset and call him using PED's if he was using nodoze before a game?

Banky, you site ******** government propaganda for your drug research so your one to talk.

Sure adderall can be dangerous for sherman, not sure how that is our business. Until you hurt others I dont care what drugs you take unless you are cheating - that is different IE steroids.

The actual concerns are whether it enhances his performance, which it doesnt. Next thing you know 5 hour energy will be banned for beind a PED. No more coffee, NFL players.

Adderall wont turn a mediocre player into a pro bowl CB was bodhas point and he was right.

So you don't like the source, so you attack me, classy. At least I had a source.

Addiction. Observational studies suggest that one in nine people who smokes marijuana regularly becomes dependent on it. Research both in animals and in people provides evidence that marijuana is an addictive substance, especially when used for prolonged periods

Hmm, same as what the other study I posted said.

Anxiety. Although many recreational users say that smoking marijuana calms them down, for others it has the opposite effect. In fact, the most commonly reported side effects of smoking marijuana are intense anxiety and panic attacks. Studies report that about 20% to 30% of recreational users experience such problems after smoking marijuana. The people most vulnerable are those who have never used marijuana before.

More of the same.

Psychosis. Marijuana exacerbates psychotic symptoms and worsens outcomes in patients already diagnosed with schizophrenia or other psychotic disorders. Several large observational studies also strongly suggest that using marijuana — particularly in the early teenage years — can increase risk of developing psychosis.

There's no question that recreational use of marijuana produces short-term problems with thinking, working memory, and executive function (the ability to focus and integrate different types of information). Although little research exists on medical marijuana, anecdotal reports indicate that some patients take the drug at night to avoid these types of problems.

I am not see much of a difference between my propaganda and the Havard Medical Journal

Effects of Abuse
The consequences of Adderall abuse include irregular heartbeat, dangerously high blood pressure, and increased chances of cardiovascular failure or seizures. In some individuals, repeatedly taking high doses of Adderall can lead to feelings of hostility and paranoia

Considerations
More severe side effects that you should report to a doctor include: suicidal thoughts, confusion, chest pain or tightness, depression, more outgoing or aggressive behavior than normal, hallucinations, fainting, seizures, unexplained rash or hives, and uncontrolled movements.

Children who take Adderall also have a small risk of temporary slowing of growth and weight gain. Although this is usually slight (less than one inch or two pounds), a child's growth should still be monitored when he or she is taking Adderall.

Man, I am not sure why the NFL does not want players taking this. They are just being big meanies.

More so just pointing out your childish attack calling bodha clueless. The marijuana reports you posted were a joke and your feverish attempts to strike it down as some horrible drug are comical along with the lines of adderall. The arguement isnt "is adderal bad for sherman" its "is adderall a PED?"

Bodha said nothing about the affects of adderall on shermans health, just stating it doesnt turn him into some super athlete and you attack the guy for a totally different reason than what he said.

for some reason that kind of behavior makes me want to chime in, that is all.

I'm very familiar with how marijuana works and what it does to the mind, im not claiming it to be good for you and perfectly harmless in any way. Some of those statements and studies are a joke though when looked at with a critical eye.

Failing to see why anyone cares if marijuana can create anxiety in certain people? Yes, people who rarely use MJ can become anxious if they smoke too much at first, absolutely. So what?

I suppose you COULD say maijuana may be addictive to a small percentage of people. ************ is also addictive. Got any articles about why I should stop ************?

I guess you were unable to read all of my post about it since I feel pot should be legal. My post was to help with the misconceptions on both sides. The side made it appear harmless, while the other made it the worst thing ever. It is no more dangerous than drinking and what I posted was to point that out. I guess I should have been more clear.

But regardless, Bodha making posts that support people smoking and driving then saying that he has no problem taking a controlled substance while playing football, which had can have adverse side effects, is foolishness and irresponsible.

I guess if you want to defend that, that is your priority, I am done with this argument.

And it very well can simply be misconceptions. I don't care if the guy takes adderall tho, that's on him.

As far as being high and driving, It depends. If nothings wrong w one beer than nothings wrong w one hit IMO

Not this. Not this at all. He's denied the positive since the beginning and hadn't wavered in saying he didn't take it.

Didn't come remotely close to admitting anything in that interview ..... You can believe what you want, but he's done nothing but promote his innocence

People can become dependant on anything. Eggo waffles.

9 out of 10 people that eat eggo waffles wake up in the morning and want....eggo waffles.

Does that make eggo's addictive?

People need to understand what studies tell them and what they do not.

Everything is habit forming, the question is, do you get the shakes or headaches like even caffeine can do.

Richard Sherman is a good player, but I think he is straight up a moron for testing positive for it, appealing and winning based on technicalities, and then talking about it.

I don't know where the NFL gets off needing to 'protect' its players from some pretty benign stuff. I mean really, poppy seeds on a sandwich? Some over the counter cold/flu medicine. So on and so forth.

The time for common sense has come and gone in this country.

I'm pretty sure they could make it so they could tell if someone is slamming heroin or eating poppy seeds, like for instance the 10000000000x times more that would be in their bloodstream, or some other characteristics or byproducts, but the NFL wants to pretend to be smart, when really they are doing it on the cheap, no matter what they are spending on it. They could spend a little more and make it better.

Also I don't see how it is legit that someone could drink a weight gainer drink, eat a poppy seed sandwich, took some cold medicine and get on a program that then piss tests you randomly and suspends you for drinking a beer at home.

That is easy. There are currently lawsuits over concussion that if they lose, could cripple the money the owner makes. Now lets say that during the hearing, a player is taking a banned substance that is know to accelerate your hear rate. Now lets say they have a heart attack on the field and die. What is the headline going to read? We will not hear a word about the substance, but how unsafe the NFL it. It is to protect the NFL, not the player and as someone who loves the game, I have no problem with then trying to protect the game.

For someone that comes from Compton/Stanford.. He makes Dockett look like an intellectual..
