If you didn't you need only listen to the commentating during the Home Run Derby. It got awkward, I thought about turning the channel for a while so the announcers could have some privacy they were getting so turned on.

Listen, there's no doubt the kid is impressive, a phenom, whatever superlatives you want to throw out there, but the fact is it's turned up to 1,000,000 because he's a Yankee.

Seriously, the comments got embarassing to the point where during the entire semis and finals, even if they weren't batting it was just a good old fashioned 70's love fest with AARON JUDGE.

lol the media is in heaven right now. "THE YANKEES HAVE THE GREATEST PHENOM IN THE LAST 500 YEARS ATLEAST!"

"Folks, there have been 3 significant events in human history: 1. discovery of fire 2. Invention of the wheel and 3. Aaron Judge!!!

I love baseball, but the national media coverage of it which ONLY cares about the Yankees and the Redsox (and the Cubs every 100 years or so) is just eye-rolling stuff.

It's just mindless pandering to their fans. A Yankee fan during the 2001 series argued with me that Jorge Posada was "the greatest catcher of all time."

He's 6'7 280? I wonder how heavy that bat is.

Aaron Judge is the story of the first half of 2017. I understand why some may not like that, but the media has to acknowledge it.

yes a good story, but would he get the press if he wasn't on the Yankees?

no, no he wouldn't lol. It doesn't bother me, the whole post was supposed to be humorous with the main point being exactly what you said.

If he wasn't a Yankee, we would not have heard his name prior to this event. Instead the entire event becomes the AJ show with the announcers slobbering all over the Yankees and their "phenom."

It's like when the Cowboys are good in the NFL, it's just embarrassing.

What I don't get, if you aren't a Yankees fan, why buy a judge jersey?

Bandwagon? I wouldn't buy a Yankee jersey if I were standing on a glacier in Alaska wearing jockey shorts and that were the only shirt available.

Hey, do I get honorable mention in the Yankee hater of the year award? :)

It's deserving but he'll come back to earth. Btw Brian Cashman is one of the more underrated GM's in baseball.

Aaron Judge has now struck out in 30 consecutive games. He's the first player to do that since Adam Dunn (32 straight games) in 2012.

The guys at MLB network must be devastated. I wonder what they filled their daily 6hours of Aaron Judge highlight tape with???

The Yankees have all but lost the division to Boston, and in their current slump have lost a once commanding lead in the WC race. (sound familiar?)

The difference is the Yankees and their $233 million plus team salary were expected to contend. We have overachieved and it caught up with us. Let's hope for the best from this day forward and not throw in the towel.

Through yesterday Judge has whiffed a frightening 54 times in 108-at-bats, hitting .178.

Too bad espn and MLB network don't understand hitting peripherals because that first half .426 babip and 40% HR/FB ratio wasn't even remotely sustainable. Then you've got that whole striking out in 1/3 of his ABs thing, his contact % out of the zone is abysmal.

The guy can mash but he's got a long ways to go before he's going to consistently hit for a good average with all that swing and miss in his game.
