Didn't Green want Benson despite his lack of speed???

Never realized that Arrington was that fast so I sorted all RBs by speed On TSN's draft site. Arrington was #2 of all RBs with a 4.4 (average) 40 times.

The only RB faster than Arrington is........

NAU's Roger Robinson with a 4.37 40-times. And YES - Robinson is the UDFA we signed.
I guess Green's comments about speed not being that important for a RB just lost some credibility.

When did he say that? He did draft Bennett and had Robert Smith, so I am sure it is very important.

He also said at one point he was looking for speed players. You cant overanalyze what they say, theyre not always 100% consistent. He likes speed but of course knows that there are many other factors to consider.

Just thought is a funny observation that we ended up with the two fastest RBs after Green stated that speed wasn't that important.

Of course he was pimping Benson. He is going to be great back as well. Everyone was thinking he would be dropping to us. But he wasn't there for us. We got JJ which was the college lead rusher. So can't complain. Especially when we got a great CB in Rolle....
