Anyone have any idea why the games on FoxSports (600s) are blacked out but the games on WGN are not?

I can get Rangers and Astros here in Austin on FoxSportsSW but none of the other games without buying the MLB package. However the WGN games are almost always available.

WGN is a national channel and the FSN channels are regional would be my guess.

you are correct.. WGN is national. I use Direct TV as well.. and I love my baseball package

It was nice but had to give it up to afford NFL Sunday Ticket. The thing that chaps me though is that before MLB Extra Innings came along I could watch several games on the 600's. Now they all say "channel not purchased" once the games start.
