I was just switching my DirecTV package online and saw this option. Anyone know what it is?

From the DTV site:

"Get a head start on the 2007 NFL season by ordering NFL SUNDAY TICKET today for just 11 payments of $20.82 per month. This limited-time offer is the lowest full-season price available! Offer ends February 28."

$229 for the year. Want it in high def? That's just $99 more. Attending games eight weeks out of the year? That leaves the remaining nine weeks costing you only $36 per week. They've priced me out of their market. Even if I was watching every week, $19.29 per week for out of market games is awfully stiff for television.

Yeah, I'm thinking of going out to the bars again on Sunday. The kids are getting old enough now to where it's not such a burden on the little lady to leave her every week for my mistress NFL.

Plus you add in the 8 or 9 games NFL network is showing, plus 2 games on Monday night 2 times a year, you are now getting 10 or 11 less games now than before at a higher price.

I don't know if I'll re-up next season. Even if it means not watching the Cards. It's too much.

Yeah, I cancelled about a year ago when I realized I watch the HD games for free anyways. Too expensive for current season ticket holders who miss 1/2 the weeks anyways.

Here's an idea: Cater to the 1 million + NFL season tickets holders. Charge me 1/2 price and let me have Sunday Ticket w/HD when my home team is away or on Bye week. I don't need to pay for Sundays when I'm in Glendale at the stadium.

Wouldn't it be less expensive to just pay the full $179? I thought that's what it cost...or did they raise the price?

I love the fact that I live nestled in between three major media markets. I can point my HD antenna at Indy, Cinci, and Louisville, and usually find a decent game. Don't cost a thing, either. ;)

What you call "nestled" others might call "stuck." ;)

Aren't all of the Cards away games show in the Phoenix/Tempe area locally? Or is it because they aren't shown locally in HD?
