And Humphries is probably saying that Murray shouldn't run right into the guy who he is blocking...
I think any tackle would most accurately say, "dude, it's called a pocket for a reason and that pocket develops with you sitting at the eventual rim of the pocket like a deer in the headlights... step up and throw already"

Kyler then responds, "my guard play sucks and there are holes in the bottom of the pocket and my keys to the offense keep falling out"

Where as Kliff needs to start calling plays or stress to his QB that the keys are now in his hands lol

So if Joe Burrow lost the AFC championship game and replaced Mahomes in the pro bowl is he not legitimate?
Meh I feel so little for the pro bowl I don’t even have the desire to argue with you about it. Celebrate whoever’s pro bowl you want. Enjoy.

Hump just got in and he's not even a top 15 left tackle. Gilmore got in playing 8 average games.

Chandler got in and had his worse season probably of his career.

Its not that bad players get in. It's undeserving players.
According to you.

Also, I'm talking about the original pro bowl rosters. I know lesser player get in because of opt outs. Hence, the word alternate or replacement. The game itself sucks but getting named to the pro bowl is still an honor.

No, not according to me. According to DJ Humphries being at the Pro Bowl.

In the last games of the season Humphries couldn't block anyone, often I saw him being easily beaten
I don't know the reason why he was such of liability, not his standards

I watched Murray literally run right into Humphries guy TWICE against the Seahawks.

Murrays pocket presence regressed mightily at the end of the season. Running backwards and sideways instead of stepping up is causing a bunch of sacks.

Agree but Humphries was even worse then Garcia, and if a qb who is scared to get hit has a turnstile left tackle he can just maximize his flaws

Humphries is not worse than Garcia. That's pure fantasy from any analytical view.

Outside of Hudson, Humphries was probably the most consistent lineman.

I didn't say he is worse , just stated in his final games he played as poorly as Garcia
Hudson was just average , our best lineman was Beachum

I don't know man, I saw Murray try to run to his left when he should have stepped forward.

I do agree that Beachum was probably the Cardinals best lineman overall. Dude is straight underrated on this board.

Agree about Murray, bur Humphries couldn't block the pass rusher more then 1,5 second

I wonder how much of that had to do with Hump getting beat inside more than outside, cause it seems like that was the case after he came back from COVID.

I love Hump, but….he was bad on his own. It felt like there were way more times this season than last where he was getting beat inside. Can’t blame Kyler on those.

Very true, in those instances a QB needs to step up and shift left or right accordingly. If he rolls back left or right he's not helping either tackle.

Something else of note. If a QB takes a 7 or 8 step drop from under center the tackle know exactly where his QB will be. I have noticed that K1 takes the snap in shot gun and drops back 5 or 6 yards meaning he's 10 or 11 yards back from the LOS. Not putting tackles in a good position. IMO
