DJ actually had a way better year for Texans than he had the last few with AZ. He was back to 4.7 YPC and almost 10 YPC on receptions. Had a few games where he looked really, really good.

Still a steal by AZ, though.

Maybe you want to re-read my post...I didn't compare him, or his year in Texas, to anyone other than his own last couple of years in AZ.

In 2019 David Johnson was:

8th in receiving DYAR
5th in receiving DVOA
6 TDs

He didn't have enough carries to qualify for rushing rankings, but he had -9 DYAR and -10.8% DVOA. In 2020 he had 74 DYAR and 2.7% DVOA.

He went from being a replacement-level runner to an average runner and fell through the floor as a pass catcher.
