If you are going to be negative because of previous history, then you aren't really offering anything to the conversation.
There is actually a way to not be pessimistic and not getting too high or optimistic at the same time.
But its people act like these are the only two options they have.
Or they want to be proven right and they think it is more likely the Cardinals will fail.
Why You Should be AT LEAST Neutral-Positive This Upcoming Season:
- We won our last 2 home games. People might have to separate that from Kyler "always struggling at the end of the year."
- The Rams gm could of went alot different if Conner didn't get hurt...a team that scored only 23 pts in 2 gms vs our def WITHOUT A PASS RUSH.
Unless you think their defense is so dominant that holding us to 9 points makes sense after they gave up 42. They took PHI down to the wire
in the playoffs but they aren't that good.
-What does the offensive performance vs the Panthers without Conner in the 2nd half say about Kyler Murray's struggles?
That game should be put on the defense. 36 pts allowed to CAR is unacceptable. By the way, that lost to CAR was the ONLY loss
we had to a team that didn't make the playoffs. That is significant.
-We managed to be the 15th overall defense last year in points allowed and around 16th in sacks. WITHOUT A PASS RUSH.
-CBs always look better when you get a pass rush and we have a solid dline rotation for any down and distance.
This is not a defense of Kyler Murray. If we don't win a playoff game this year, the fanbase and media will tilt front office into making serious changes.
This is a defense of an average team lacking talent in a key area that pretty much filled their biggest need by taking Nolen tonight.

The thing with this video is he will likely specialize in pass rush on 3rd down. And there is no way Gannon and Monti take someone this high
if they think they have character issues.
SO...
People want to compare last year to 2021 collapse. Thats fine. I will take 10 wins this year with a 3-3 division record and we can even blow a game to
IND or someone. The difference we only be seen with how we play in the playoffs. Not whether or not we perform badly at the end of the regular season
again. I trust our coach and the moves our GM has made and will continue to make. I trust that for maybe only the 2nd time in his career,
Kyler has a top 10 defense. Something that "star qbs" in this league like Mahomes and Allen get handed to them every year. And if I am wrong,
then obv there is an issue with Kyler that can't be solved, but people acting like they know the future already are insane.
Stop basing your opinion on previous history and try to look objectively as if this was not your team.Things are going forward in the right direction
towards a playoff year for us. If you can't see that, you are blinded by "Cardinals of the past." We have a 10 win team and it might be more.
Saying that is not insane. It is barely being optimistic.
4 wins to 8 wins to ?
How do you add talent on a 14th ranked defense and suddenly get worse?
How does the offense get worse when Harrison has more experience and said the first part of the season was overly fast and sped up?
It is not worth being negative because you fear injuries either. If that happens, there is nothing we can do about it. But this team is in
contention with LAR for the division. The NFC West has never been won by the worst defense. This year, LAR, AZ and SEA are going to
likely improve from the top 15 defenses. SF was 28th, they aren't going to make a drastic improvement after losing all that talent in FA.
SEA needs a lot to go right, but contending for a playoff spot is not out of the question. I just think they will be fighting for the WC if
they do perform well. That leads the Rams, an offense that struggled vs our defense in two games last season and needed some luck
to avoid a sweep.
You can make the case someone else is a fav to win the division. But is not SF. And our chances are very high.
I think our minimum expectations at this point should be a playoff win leading to a second round exit.
Wheras, our ceiling is the NFC championship game.
We have coaches that were a huge part of a team that went to the Superbowl. I expect success in the playoffs.
You should too. Have some hope, its free. And you don't need to act some crazy bandwagoner to have it.
There are literally good reasons to be hopeful.
Also we went 0-6 two years ago in the division and then 3-3. Isn't 4-2 possible? I am not predicting it but it is.
And if we go 4-2, 11 wins is very attainable. Personally I am sticking with 10-7.
Last year I was hoping for 9 and got 8. According to NFL deep analytics, we should of won 9 games last year btw.

Mathematically, we underperformed our expectation. Same thing happened with Bears btw.
Take our SRS number and it has us ranked 12th in the league overall.
This is taken from the last day of the season before FA.
HOW CAN YOU NOT BE HOPEFUL?
