Does anyone else get pissed when they get together and celebrate when the last undefeated team loses each season? I hope and pray every year someone goes undefeated just to spoil their party.... they don't even play the same schedule anymore.

So what do you say? They earned it, they deserve it.... or enough is enough

Nah it's all in good fun to celebrate that accomplishment. It's not like they wish that team ill will.

It's been old for years. Probably a dozen or so teams that won the Super Bowl after them would have destroyed them in a game.

Undefeated doesn't mean they are the best. Far from it, IMO.

More power to them. Once someone else does it, they'll become irrelevant. Let them have their fun. They earned it, well everyone but Griese.... j/k

Not only do I not mind, I was a fan of the Dolphins back then. Takes me back to my youth.

Larry Csonka (my favorite)
Mercury Morris
Dick Anderson
Bob Griese
Paul Warfield
Nick Bounticant (sp?)
Manny Fernandez
Jim Kickk (not sure of the spelling or if he was a member that season)
Earl Morrell (ditto)
Garo Yaprimien (jeez I can't remember how to spell any of these names)

Yup, takes me back to my youth.

What's to get upset about? It was quite an accomplishment when they played. Now it's just a running celebration and a reason for them to get together. Let them enjoy it, I say! :)

They don't really get together and celebrate the event. That is another urban myth.

Those guys?

NAH! You can't get mad at the old school teams. EVEN the old school Cowboys get my respect. Plus regardless of when, who and where they went undefeated in the NFL, that in itself needs to be respected.

Back when the game was a freakin' street fight !

Football is still an awesome sport to watch. But it is entertaining in a different way.

I would pay anything to watch a football game back in the 1960's. Serious violence going on down on those fields.....entertaining violence too!

If you think they were violent on the football field, try playing basketball with some of them. You literally took your life in your hands.

I've got a DVD of the Cardinals highlights from 1964-65. Cool stuff to watch.

I liked the really old NFL where they had to hold the ballcarrier down or he could get up and run again.

No. Until someone goes undefeated and wins the SB like they did, who cares. Beat the record and they will be forgotten.

Renz:

Maybe not. But they were the best that year. #1 offense ppg & ypg, #1 defense ppg & ypg. Did it with their HOF QB on the bench for most of the season, after Bob Griese went down in week 5 against San Diego. Came close to recording the only shutout in SB history. (Yepremian's kick woulda made it 17-0. Weird.) And my dad and I had seats on the 40-yard line, which was the perfect end to the Perfect Season.

Let 'em have their champagne. They earned it.
