Plummer, like most Cards' skilled players, was more a victim than a cause of the AZ ineptitude. He was a good player when he landed here, but the Cards wanted to make him more of a pocket passer. By the time he left he was so confused he had become ineffective. Jake is a perfect example of why I worry about them pushing Leinart in behind such a bad line. You ruin quite a few good QBs that way. Leinart will fare better than Warner, but the risk is too great. Plummer is still a decent QB, but he could have been so much more. For all those criticizing him, as far as I can recall he was good enough to get to and win a playoff game. As to wanting him back, Montana in his prime couldn't function behind this line.
