I don't think the front office is opposed to tanking. I'm pretty sure last year's team was built with every intent of being terrible, however, our 'terrible' coach and a group of players that looked either totally unproven... or proven as bad/mediocre ended up being pretty good. That threw a bit of a wrench in the tanking plan, its hard to justify breaking up a young team that just pushed for 50 wins and is doing the same this year.

Our roster definitely needs to be sorted out soon though.

We are way too deep at some positions (PG - Bledsoe, Dragic, Thomas, Ennis & SF Tucker, Morris, Green, Warren, Bullock) making it impossible to play the young guys at least spot minutes and thin at other positions (PF - Markieff being the only real PF).

Even worse when Markieff is on the floor we outscore opponents by 9 per 100. When he is off the court we get outscored by 7 per 100. It is insane how badly we depend on Markieff.

I felt like our last real chance was the Marion-Nash-JJ-Amare teams. We'll have to have at least that much talent and potential to even have a chance for the foreseeable future.

That team would roll to a championship this year.

I still feel like if we had a better coach it would have gotten done. I think there was enough talent.

I wonder what Kerr could have done with that team if he stepped in as HC.

I still think there is a chance... if I live longer than the next ten years.
