Very happy to see the purple go
I actually liked the purple and teal or whatever you want to call it but I must say I like the brick red better. Makes it seem more like the colors of a team that plays in the desert.

I think they are nice but I really did like the old uni's that came with the Colangelo era.

I hated the purple, teal and green with a passion.

These colors are obviously look a lot more better and the stripes are GONE!

i'm not a diamondbacks fan so I really have no attachment either way - but i think the current uniforms (and merchandise in general) is a lot more palatable

in the past, even if i were a fan, I couldn't see myself wearing anything they put out - now I see a lot of stuff I like

Long answer: At first I didn't want to see the purple legacy go, now I'm happy with the change. Anytime I was in AZ I could wear my purple hat and people knew what team it represented. Out of state, I probably would have got laughed at. Now with the red and black, out of staters still don't know who the Diamondbacks are, but at least I don't look like a '**** wearing a Diamondbacks hat.

Short answer:Yes.

No.

My long answer is a combo of BC and Phxchris. I wasn't a huge fan of the trendy purple, but it's even worse to change your entire color scheme after less than a decade. I would have much prefered to scale back certain colors (the purple and teal) and emphasize different ones (the copper and black).

Then, as far as the new choices, white trimmed with red is Washington, and red drimmed with "sand" is Houston. We went from one trendy set of colors to another trendy set of colors.

Yes, I like the Sedona red color scheme but, with so many teams featuring red now, I would have liked to see the D'backs come up with something more distinctive.
Oh, gotcha.

I agree that these new uni's look very similar to Houston, Washington, and Cincinnati's uniforms but I still like them.

This about sums it up.

Thanks for the non-bias national perspective. I completly agree...

Yeah, won't it be great when we play Houston & you won't be able to tell them apart! Nice way to conform to the rest of the league! Don't forget what the great color/logo change did for the current NHL franchise in Phoenix!!!

Win baseball games! I don't give a rats buttocks what color they where!

.

I totally agree. This is what teams usually do. They could have adopted the new logos, got rid of the pinstripes, dumped the teal and made purple a trim color.

I can't think of another Major league team in recent history that completely changed their entire color scheme?

Astros changed from the dark blue & gold to what they have now.
Padres changed from dark blue and burnt orange or w/e to what they have now.

A lot of teams are red white and blue and switch between red and blue hats every few years but that's not really a color change.

The Padres made pretty drastic changes. For the negative though if you ask me.

I dislike the new uniforms, except for the road grey uniform- which sadly it looks like they aren't going to wear very often. The black uniform is by far the worst in my opinion, black is so overdone in sports.

I'm gonna be honest here, it took me a little while to get used to them. Seems like some shade of maroon and black are becoming the colors of choice out here, and I was one who actually enjoyed the Diamondbacks having their own seperate identity..

That said, I like the new look. I think it's fresh and professional.
