One of the biggest reasons the Eggos suck is because they can't block on their O-line, which has trickled down to the rest of their team underperforming. From the QB to the Eggo's defense. The puupy strangler is forced to try too much. Their defense will make big stops and then get thrown right back on the field after their offense collapses. This is all starting to sound familiar right?

That's why Whiz needs to discard Grimm ASAP. If we kick Whiz to the curb, and he lands somewhere with an actual O-line...we will be watching Ken coach some other team in the playoffs, and it won't be because he has a top 3 NFL caliber QB. It will be because he has time to get his gameplan off the ground, instead of picking his QBs up off the ground.

Grimm has handicapped this team for a horrible last 3 years. It is the one spot that literally hurts the rest of the team, including Fitz. If the Cards somehow bounce Whiz and Grimm stays, well that's when I am all out.

Post of the Year.

Yup! The injury to Levi Brown only exacerbated a bad situation.

Retaining Russ Grimm is like continuing to employ your hitting coach in baseball when your team is hitting .190 and can't handle the curve ball (stunts) or slider (blitz). It may not be 100% your fault, but you are making a bad situation even worse.

No.

In fact, I see a parallel between Reid's travails of late and the rut the Cardinals seem to find themselves in recently.

Reid finally fixed the Eagles' historic lack of explosive receivers only to find the wheels falling off the wagon at other positions. (Injuries certainly haven't helped, but still- "it's always something.")

Wiz & Horton finally developed a kickass defense only to have the wheels fall off at QB and OL (& injuries haven't helped).

If there's one way out of this conundrum, logic would point in the direction of bright new productive mold-breaking thinking.

To replace Wiz with Reid would be to give us more of the same.

Wiz, in the past, has demonstrated flexibility and a willingness to change when forced by events to do so. I'd rather we stick with Wiz rather than replace him with Reid.

I first noticed it when we played them at the toaster. Vick was running for his pathetic little life, Eggo defense had some highlites but was on the field a lot, missing easy tackles by the end of the game. I do recall them being able to pull off their screen plays though. Vick's even out with a concussion, how much more Cardinal can you get?? :D Eggo's have a lot of talent but can't block on offense. We could swap head coaches and the records probably wouldn't change much at all.

I would like him as OC. I would also like Norv Turner as OC. Both should be there for next season. Either one would be leaps and bounds better than Miller. If I were to get a new Headcoach it would be either Jon Gruden or Bill Cower.

We don't need a new Head Coach we just need a guy like John Benton of the Texans.

If we finish 6-10, I think we make a coaching change......it looks as though Reid won't be back.

ESPN was discussing possible coaches who would be fired this year. They listed six. Whiz was not one of them. My guess is they are smart enough to know you never try to guess what the Cards might do. They operate by a different set of standards.

I think Whiz has way too much power over this team like Mike Holmgren did in Seattle. Granted, Whiz is not acting as a GM, but he is having a ton of input on GM decisions by all accounts.

The problem with the Cards is there is a collation of people making decisions. Whiz, Keim, MB and Graves all with their hands in personal decisions. Whiz having a huge influence on the offense along with the OC.

The Cards FO need to set strict guidelines and boundaries that everyone must adhere to in order to clear the muck. Let Whis coach and that's it. Keim get the players, Miller of whomever to run the O, get rid of Grimm, and let Horton run the D.

There's a lot of deadweight on this team that outweigh the talent. The whole organization needs to be streamlined from top to bottom and Whisenhunt needs a lot of his influence stripped away in order for this team to be successful.

I bet Reid takes at least 1 year off anyway given his long stint away from family because of football, plus TE death of his son.

Wouldn't surprise me. Would be good for him, too, I think. Met Reid a few times. Nice guy. Decent coach. I think he needs a break, especially after this year.

Whiz will be here coaching next year. Part of our problem is the QB and o-line situation. Coaching can't fix all of that.

Agree It's a case of too many cooks in the kitchen and the recipe turns into a disaster.

I agree Reid does need to take some time off. He needs to get his personal life in order. I feel if he takes a couple of season off he would be refreshed and ready to coach again.
