McCown's only shot at staying in the NFL is to serve some time overseas. He needs playing time and the Europe league could give him the needed confidence or expose him for the flop he appears to be. I'd tune in to every game he started.

i dont understand why NFL teams dont do more with NFLE - there is a massive fanbase over here and a few freebies and a pressence from an NFL team at tailgate would get all of these fans who dont have a US team supporting the Cards as well as the Claymores etc which in terms of recognition world wide would do them no harm at all as they would have no competion

- even if it was just selling more jerseys etc - the benefits would far outway a small $ outlay

come on Cards take advantage !

The main problem as I understand it is that the NFLE season overlaps with team's minicamps. And it's a shame b/c the NFL teams need their 3rd stringers in minicamp when really they would benefit from competition. As a result you get very marginal talent out there instead of using it as an opportunity to get the clipboard-holders some on-field experience.

Parsons could benefit from QBing a team over there, but minicamp commitments wont allow it.

If I ran the show, I would have 8 teams in Europe that would field players from the respective 8 NFL divisions. That way their would be a direct association between NFLE clubs and NFL clubs. Maybe generating European interest to clubs over here.

I would also look at scheduling minicamp a bit later in the year to allow NFLE to have a 10-12 week season and allow 3rd-string level players on a roster to have enough time to play over there and make it back to join their NFL team.
