The main problem as I understand it is that the NFLE season overlaps with team's minicamps. And it's a shame b/c the NFL teams need their 3rd stringers in minicamp when really they would benefit from competition. As a result you get very marginal talent out there instead of using it as an opportunity to get the clipboard-holders some on-field experience.
Parsons could benefit from QBing a team over there, but minicamp commitments wont allow it.
If I ran the show, I would have 8 teams in Europe that would field players from the respective 8 NFL divisions. That way their would be a direct association between NFLE clubs and NFL clubs. Maybe generating European interest to clubs over here.
I would also look at scheduling minicamp a bit later in the year to allow NFLE to have a 10-12 week season and allow 3rd-string level players on a roster to have enough time to play over there and make it back to join their NFL team.
