After Aeneas and Adub went in, I really think the Cardinals are done for a while. Theres nobody who played for us who is retired who needs to go in.

Warner? I dont know. Kurt did a lot for us but no title and only really 3 good years. Not sure, he did take us to the super bowl. Lets just say I am undecided on Kurt.

Fitz is a 100% lock.

Dockett was here for 10 years and had 40 sacks. He had such a monster game in the Super Bowl.... ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ok, I vote yes in this imaginary poll that means nothing whatsover. But if they decide not to put him in, I'm not going to be outraged or anything. Its a tough call.


Funny thing is, not trying to jinx anything here, but imagine if this years team wins the superbowl? How much will that change things? A franchise that has never won a Super Bowl, you almost have to put the whole team in as one (2015 Cardinals), and then you can isolate guys that were really special like Fitz with their own. Other wise the ring of honor will get super crowded cuz Mikey will be so happy he will be putting everyone in it.

If that's true, then why not wait two more years to induct him? None of that is going to change. This isn't the Hall of Fame where there's a voting process and ceremony every year.

I guess the discussion question is what is the Ring of Honor for?

I think the Ring should be used to forever honor players that were very important to the franchise.

If we're talking about the 90's, the only player that fits that bill is Aeneas Williams since we had so much turnover.

Over the past decade you could easily argue that former Cardinals Wilson, Dockett, and Warner deserve to be in, based on longevity and production.

I think current guys would be Fitzgerald, Campbell, and Peterson if he sticks around a few more years.

I'm probably in the minority, but I don't think it should be too exclusive. Honor guys that meant something to the franchise and to the fans. It builds a sense of history and connects that former players to the team forever.

I guess, but as someone mentioned above, there's only so much room on the ring. There are already 15 names on it. You assume they'll put Papa Bill's name up there eventually.

I think that Fitzgerald is a lock. Peterson if he keeps doing it the right way. I don't know about Campbell. Has he been important to the fans? Can you not tell the story of the Arizona Cardinals and leave out Campbell? Are you going to tell your kids about watching Calais Campbell play football?

I'm a big Campbell fan, but I don't think I'm gonna be bouncing K9III on my knee and he'll ask me what it was like to watch Campbell play.

It's interesting that the Cards website (http://www.azcardinals.com/history/ring-of-honor.html) has HoF induction next to the player's tenure with the team.

I think you have to be a producer who you can make a HoF argument for (like Wilson) who also comported themselves with class and dignity during their time here and afterward.

I'm not sure that Dockett's shower livestream qualifies him for either category.

I completely agree. It is not as if they retire the player's jersey.

That said, I hope they don't let another player wear #11 after Fitz goes...

But the very emotional character which made Dockett the spark of this team for many years is the same one that can get out of hand for the short ending of recent with the Cards and as we all know and the team knows can fluctuate day to day with Darnell... because it's Dockett and how the guy is made, I think the franchise can overlook what he did
