Cam Newton is the truth.

I am convinced the people who don't think he is going to be a good NFL player haven't seen him play multiple games and are using generalizations to shade their opinion rather then watching the games. He is alot more accurate as a thrower (especially down field) then he is given credit for and his running style is more conducive to the NFL then a Tim Tebow type.

Most of the reasonings for not liking him are he has only played in a spread and has only played for one year. But my question is what could he have done to help either of those things, and aren't those more caution flags and areas to look deeper into rather then using them as a reason to knock him out all together?

They don't make athletes like this at the QB position and he is accurate and has a natural arm slot to boot. Plus he is very charasmatic and a leader among his teammates.

I am not sure the character concerns are as big as people think, and while they should be checked out, they aren't assaults, or rapes, or even drugs.

One issue was an eligibility issue and one was a supposed cheating issue.

He is not without flaw, but if you get the chance to draft a player with his combination of skill, production, and at the most important position in sports....you do it every time.

And hopefully we are not picking this high going forward.

Some one in here was saying Fitz is a Cam fan as well. He would help out our O-line like nobody else in the draft, maybe even more so than a good line man (since we need a couple).

I would love to see the Cards draft Cam. I think he would be a great fit in this offense.

I can't remember who said it, but the poster who stated that the Cards should take a shot at greatness with Newton is spot on.

Cam Newton should give half of his rookie salary to Mike Vick, because if it weren't for him tearing it up this season in the NFL people wouldn't be nearly as excited about another hybrid QB. I am not sold on him at all.

In THIS offense? The offense that has very few rollouts or bootlegs and asks for the QB to throw on 65% of the offensive snaps? With a new O-Coordinator with the freedom to design the offense to fit his pieces maybe but our current offense...no way.

Watch the game on Monday, Cam is excellent at handing the ball off from shot gun formation (not that it's hard or any thing). That is Whiz's favorite run play, it's a lock.:p

newton is a winner..just look at auburn --the last year was terrible and now is in championship ...check the stats : 67 % of complet passes 28 td pass and just 6 interceptions 20 rushing td...he has accuracy and can throw deep ball.. a lot of people talking without watching him playing

He hasn't declared yet,I think Newton is going to stay in college another year. His dad hasn't received his 2nd payment from Aubrun yet, of which Cam knew nothing about .

Hmmmmm Cam Newton intown I'ma go by and pick him up ask him what he thinks about AZ? Then make his as sign on he dotted line!!

Man that is illiterate and damned near incomprehensible.

Just offer his father $180,000.

BTW Darnell, that would be an NCAA No No.

Then maybe he should put fewer m's in Hmmmmm. Then he could have also correctly spelled "ass" and "the" and "in town."

The first part is a statement not a question so his use of a question mark is wrong.

Twitter has done wonders for the English language. :D
