Defensive tackle Darnell Dockett wasn't interested this week in breaking down the Cardinals' woes. He was, however, ready to venture a prediction for Sunday's game against St. Louis.
"We're going to win," he said. "We're going to (expletive) win. I'm not talking trash. I never talk trash, but we're going to win."
Why is he so confident the 2-7 Cardinals are going to be victorious?
"Because we're going to win. I just know we're going to win. It's time for a damn win. We need a win in the worst way, the very worst way."
The Rams are 4-5 and favored to beat the Cardinals at home. Doesn't matter, Dockett said.
"The Rams are what, one game in front of us for second place in our division?"
Two games, he was told.
"One game, because we're going to win this one," he said. "I'm not trying to be funny, man. I'm not thinking anything negative all this week. I don't want to talk about missed tackles. I don't want to talk about defense struggling. I don't want to talk about offense struggling. All I want to talk about is the Cardinals winning this game."
Q Rating
Receiver Anquan Boldin practiced Thursday and was upgraded from questionable to probable for Sunday's game.
Boldin missed the past two games with a bruised knee. He reported no swelling from his workout with trainers Wednesday and no pain during or after practice Thursday.
Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald will start, and rookie LeRon McCoy will be the No. 3 receiver. Bryant Johnson (shoulder) won't play.
Extra points
Outside linebacker Karlos Dansby didn't practice because of a groin injury and remains questionable. If he can't play, rookie Darryl Blackstock will start. Tight end Eric Edwards (concussion) returned to practice after missing Wednesday's workout. He's listed as probable.
• Cornerback Antrel Rolle's knee rehabilitation is on schedule, and the Cardinals remain hopeful he will be able to play sometime in December, coach Dennis Green said.
Rolle suffered torn meniscus against St. Louis on Sept. 18 and underwent surgery Oct. 3. He has been rehabilitating in Miami.
• Neil Rackers leads kickers in Pro Bowl balloting with 249,230 votes.
