I'm taking a long lunch today to go see Dodgeball. I'll let you know what I think.

On a side note, I asked my wife if she wanted to meet me a couple of days ago. She said she wasn't sure, but wrote it in her calendar, which I happened to see yesterday. The entry said "Dodgeball Event." I asked her about the odd addition of "Event," and she told me she thought we would be playing dodgeball. When she heard it was a movie, she decided she didn't want to go.

saw it at USC a couple nights ago - had some funny moments - ************* and Grundle being my favorites - but overall - just "eh" - glad I didn't pay for it.

Oh and Christine Taylor ever in anything her husband doesn't produce?

Yeah, just an "eh" from me, too. I was the only one in a half-full theater that laughed outloud at both the "Grundle" (and "taint") line and the ************* gag. What a logo!

There were some other laughers in it, too, but overall I'd rate it a decent rental.
I also caught the preview for "Anchorman." Now, THAT looks f'n funny.

Same exact thing as me and my friend - we were dying when we saw the ************* thing - and NO ONE was laughing - what is wrong with kid's senses of humor today - I mean did no one else really get what that was in refernce to?

It wasn't that short-lived was it? I thought it was at least 2-3 years... That's an eternity for television today.

Obviously someone who has never seen the classic film Night of the Demons 2. :D

I thought Dodgeball was all right. It had enough moments to make it worthwhile but it just never gelled for me.

My faves were the German team who carried a picture of David Hassellhoff, only to be jeered by him when they're defeated.

And the Chuck Norris Sidekicks homage.

"Thanks you, Chuck Norris." Classic; I've already worked it into situational usage.

Another good part was when the tournament in Las Vegas was getting underway and the team names were flashing up on the screen. One of the team names was the "Clown Punchers." That was funny!

"Go Balls Deep!"

Finally saw this one - was surprisingly pleased by it - had a number of times where I laughed out loud.

I have seen it several times and cracked up each time. Jason Bateman is great in it. "You know Cotton, usually you have to pay double for that kinda action"
