How on earth can you walk the pitcher?

This team is going to have to score at least 5 runs a game to have a chance, pitching staff is not going to be able to hold teams to less than 4 or 5 runs a game.

Well, we are third in the NL with a 3.76 ERA. Much better than last years and not bad considering our bats.

I think our starters are close to number one? They said so during the game?

The 3.76 ERA is for the pitching staff.
Put it this way, all of ARZ's losses have come when they fail to score 5 runs and in those losses their opponents scored no less than 4 runs. Errors have been a factor but when your closer has an ERA of over 7.00 and a guy like Delgado is sporting an ERA over 8.00 it really submarines a great outing from your starters.

And now they're bringing back Silvino Bracho from the Minors. His ERA with the D-backs last season was 7.30.

'Glad to see Archie join the starters. But Bracho rewarded for a 7.30 ERA last year as a reliever. That doesn't count inherited runners he let in coming in during an inning.

Is that the best we can do?

No guarantee Archie will start. They could bring someone up from Reno before Friday.

Bracho has done well in Reno this season

I hope they keep Archie as a closer/mid pitcher. He's been doing great there so far.
