I'm not talking about him working the press, I'm talking about his batting orders, which have been very very similar to Gibby's. Lots of platooning, lots of R-L-R stuff and guys getting sat regardless of their play the previous game and Goldy is the only guy hitting in the same spot each night. Thats all stuff you haaaaaaaaated Gibson for.
I agree that Hale is immeasurably better with the press, probably more inspiring to the players. I'm not saying he IS Gibson, but I suspect Gibby would have ran almost exactly the same lineups out there thus far.
One more note, I'm not trying to rip on Hale, I didn't think Gibson's batting orders were the atrocity you did (but there were plenty of other things that Gibson sucked at).
