Does Dallas pickup Scotts pay?

Since he was claimed off waivers, does that help our cap alittle?

I'm pretty sure they pick up the pay. The Lakers were interested but were waiting until after the waiver period, so Dallas claimed him. I think the Lakers were thinking they could have us give Scott his pay check and they could get him to play for beer money like Payton & Malone..... although, that's a lot of beer!

The definition of Waivers is that the other team picks up the contract.

Even after he cleared waivers I'm not sure Williams could be had for anything less than the veteran minimum anyways.
