This disgust for our QB is for lack of a better word...stupid. I don't usually take the Lord's name in vain, glad this is a keyboard. Judge him for what he does this season, what the Hell happened to that? I've made some cool predictions, we all have, but this yard burning is stupid dot com. Everybody loves Larry, nobody loves the O-line, yada yada.

Funk yall!!!! I got love for Kevin Kolb. Betted he would last the season so please keep that drama in your own threads. You want to diss the guy keep dissing him on all those awsome threads you created.

Tired of it. everybody, let him play, over-reacting like some Phrazbits. We better than that.

I don't have to be right, but I do think everyone's entitled to my opinion. :D

Well then, feel free to make a list so we know what our opinions should be. Also, drunk or sober, it's never a cool thing to take a poster to task when he hasn't even participated in your thread.

Steve
I agree, aside from the drunk/sober jab. Shouldn't have gone there, my bad. My opinion (still a safe word right?) is that everybody is dissing stuff that hasn't happened yet. And turning to Skelton (who I do love and don't have to diss), we have 2 QBs.

Kevin Kolb is our starter, John Skelton is our back up and he is a good one with all things considered. That simple.

Damn... I said one thing in that thread and I didnt even come down hard, I was more surprised at the crowd reaction than anything else.

But since I'm getting popped off on anyway...

Kolb sucks, the trade sucked, and only his fleas will mourn him!

But it isn't that simple. Last year, our biggest weakness, arguably, was at the QB position. It's great to hear that some fans are confident that it won't continue to be the anchor that holds us down but I don't see how anyone could fault the rest of us for having a concern or two. I'd love to see either or even both of them succeed but until I see real improvement I'll remain skeptical.

Yamon me too, but I still have the faith in one Kevin Kolb. Probably out numbered here but I want the first 5 games to dictate how I feel. Not this before stuff, new teams pop up every year, our defense is going to make who ever is back ther look good. Skelton is awesome for what he is, took his playing opportunity like a man. Making mistakes that some condone, QBs make mistakes and get hurt. I just want to root for our #1, love your take on things, I be listening.

It's no biggie. QB debates are the norm around here. Look back at the numerous Warner vs. Leinart threads. Many, myself included, thought ML should be the starter. Seems like Whiz picked the right guy that time and he will pick the right guy this time too. At least we're not stuck debating Josh McCown vs. Shaun King or Derek Anderson vs. Max Hall.

Tell you what, if Kolb proves me wrong next season I will compose song for him to the tune of "Street Rat" from the film Aladdin (the source of my "fleas will mourn him" jab), filled with references to how misjudged ol' Kolby was, and "if only theeey'd look closer, would they see a loser? no sir-y, they'd find out, he's quite a good Quuuuuuubeeeeee"

This is real simple. Let the competition play itself out, and that will take care of all this clamoring for this one over that one. I just want to see a fair and honest competition. That should show if there are any dogs that need to be removed from the kennel. Right now, All Comers deserve a legitimate shot.

I agree with this. I hope Kolb proves us wrong this year. So far he has failed to live up to expectations. But I am going to give him a chance to improve with a full off-season and an improved WRing core.

To bash the trade is dumb. We had to make a move to try and get a QB wether it works out or not we had to try. Can't get mad at that.

What is this all about?

Angry we are debating on a message board or something.

We have about 14 million more threads about the QB situation to go before the 1st game so get ready

O.K. I guess we will have to wait. ;)

And this is what gets some people going in the debate. It very well should be a full-on competition in training camp, but a lot of people think it's just a wink-wink 'competition'. Kolb has done less than nothing to get an automatic nod over Skelton.

In my opinion, Kolb only has 16 games left to prove he is a starter, or he will be knocked back into the Leenart category forever. Skelton has time, and can benefit from every second of it, clipboard or on the field. I do think Kolb is the clear cut. Anything less would be uncivilized, his job to lose. I've said 14 hundred times I like Skelton, but I be thinking Kolb does bring the better stats and the best opportunity to win, and only time will tell.

6-2 vs 2-6 tells a different story.

A story for entertainment about being right:

Wednesday my black lab caught a bird in the back yard. She was running around wagging her tail happiuly with this bird in her mouth. I noticed the birds head was still moving and the wife and daughter were concerned so I advised them to get the bird. Once the bird was removed from the dogs mouth we noticed it was mostly fine. We put it in a small box and it could walk / possibly had wing damage or it would have flown away. The girls continued to place the box on my grill in the back yard.

From here I say: put it in the front yard, the dogs are going to figure out a way to do it.

An argument ensued. My idea was not a good idea. I am mean and dont care about the bird. They will put it out front when the time comes.

I cool off and say whatever. They take the box and put it on the playground and put the dogs inside. The dogs cannot get onto the playground so its a good spot in theory.

Over the next hour the bird gets out of the box. its walking around on the bplayground. Awesome. Bird jumps and glides to the ground. Excellent ; progress. Bird goes over and hangs out under a bush.

20 minutes later my daughter goes back outside and the bird is gone. Did the bird fly away? Likely not, it may be in the bush or something but im busy and dont want to go look for it.

Wife asks if she should let the dogs out and I say probably not. A few minutes later she goes outside to smoke and lets the dogs out. within seconds my Black lab again d a bird hanging from its mouth and instantly chops it in half like it knew it would lose it again if it did not take action.

My daughter wasnt out there so we didnt tell her it happened but the wife was upset. I didnt have to say a thing. I was right and she knew it.

Listen to me and put the bird out front. You may not think I am right but I am.
