The Valley so low.
Is there any rule against performance baselines in coaches' contracts? I would not hire a coach unless a provision that all guarantees are off if there's no winning record by year 3. If that means we get no 'proven coach', then I see no great loss--Green, and Buddy Ryan, were proven coaches.

[I voted 'fired', but with no confidence. The Bidwills are cheap--so 'no'. But there has to be a level of disgrace that even they respond to--so 'yes'. But we've reached that, over and over the past 2 years--so 'no'. But maybe there's a limit to how Often they can open the Republic to the headlines that will be there...so maybe 'yes'.

Is there any organized fan group that can deliver a petition to the Bidwills, or picket the stadium, or arrange a 'tell it all' interview for James...?

I personally think we'll suffer with Denny the rest of the season, he keeps his job.

Unfortunately you are right. The guy should resign. The Bidwills will not pay two coaches that you can count on.

Fired, yeah. But, not tomorrow.

Totally agree this is a move you do at the bye week or end of the season. If you do it hastily it's going to implode the team, divide the coaches, divide the players, just will get ugly.

Seriously this can't be an utter surprise to them they've clearly been thinking if Green doesn't get it turned, they'll make a move. So my guess is they've already done some thinking and maybe even some contingency planning.

Play Green Bay, see how the team responds and then decide, do you give denny the rest of the year, or do you fire him? In the interim you talk to your contingency plans and make sure if you fire Green at the bye, they're ready to take over.

NO good way to do it, just want to avoid a total implosion.

Do you think the players like Green as a coach? I mean he doesnt appear to be a people person. He shows no emotion at all. I think they may have liked Rowen and they dissagree with the OC change. Therefore they have stopped giving their all for Green.

Maybe its just me, but I could care less if the players "like" Green.

I'm sure there are lots of coaches that are disliked by their players, but they are respected. And that respect demands they go out and do their job.

I agree! Just trying to figure out why the players are giving what seems to be a half*ss effort.

Bingo!

They loved McGinnis and laid down on him too. Hell, I remember watching the team video of 2003 and Kendall was given Mc a shoulder rub while he spoke to the team after the Vikings game.

can you explain how it could be worse?

we lose the next two games putting us at 1-8 and then get BLOWN OUT at home by the 1 win Lions. That could be worse.

get ready for a post-Tobin like slide with or without DG.

Yeah, a coaching change is irrelevant now. Might as well let Green stew in his own stink for the rest of the year.

exactly. I want him to stay for the sheer entertainment value that the post-game press conferences will be.

We're Cardinal fans, please don't give them any reason to show us how it can be done.

During the Bear game, the announcers said the Bears had never overcome a 20 point 2nd half deficit. At that moment, I knew we were screwed.

There is no plan beyond DG

At least until the bye week if they're 1-7 then maybe he's fired. I just think the loss today was b/c a frustrated Oakland team wanted it more and out-played the Cardinals trying to give a rookie QB on-the-job training before a hostile crowd. We'll get better but 6-10 would be a major accomplishment at this point. Most of fire-Green camp think this was a playoff team that got derailed by a bad coach and staff- I disagree.

lmao. We play the Raiders every year in the preseason. We had a good game plan against them. They are who we thought they were. That is why the Cardinals took the damn field.
