Now that our bench has shortened a tad do we have to go through the rest of the season with barbs blowing games for us with his mental mistakes?

I hope kerr has one more trick up his sleave, make the blur disappear.

barbs for rudy i dont care about salaries just do it.

Dude lighten up on him. He's been playing good ever since getting back from his mom's funeral. He had 25 pts. against the Jazz and 15 last night.

I'd like to give Barbosa some time under this new coaching staff(out from under the D'Antoni brothers coddled wing's).
IMO this will be the plan & if Barbs shows no improvement in decision making and help defense before the deadline, Kerr will look to make a deal for another "tweener" bench guy that can handle the ball some & shoot the 3.(Hinrich maybe?)

Blowing games for us? What games has he blown? Barbosa had legit issues to deal with before he could be at his full potential. If you dont see constant improvement by him every game then you're watching another team.

The Suns just need to add a veteran PG that can play now. If they do this, this Suns are right there. I love how the the Suns improved their athleticism and explosiveness on offense with the addition of Richardson. This trade should really spark the Suns offense.

I didn't think Kerr had this kind of trade in him. I have to give him a thumbsup.

We need a backup SG anyway, it is crystal clear that Bell was unhappy about the new coach and system, while Barbosa had no such problem.

Barbosa is much younger than Bell, a lot space to improve. He was troubled by death of mon which is very understandable, he has shown noticable improvement in last few games after returning from Brazil. The most important point is, he has shown willingness to learn from Porter and adapt into new system. I feel there is a good chance he turn out well for us.

Trust me, Barbosa is part of the solution not the problem.

We do need to sign another PG in the next two weeks. A veteran perhaps to help out while Dragic learns the position.

do you guys realize that barbosa has been in the league what 5 years now? this dudes MENTAL game isnt going to change. and thats whats keeping him from being and amazing player. he is literally the most tunnel visioned player i think has ever been on the suns. shaq has more court awareness than the brazillian blunder in one of his pinkys. granted its a big pinky but none the less.

barbosa brings no stabillity whatsoever and seems to really just bring the 2nd unit to a GRINDING hault if things arent dropping for him. I know im not the only one that sees this. i dont even want to start on his playoff performances...

Id LOVE to hear your thoughts on why im uninformed and irrational about barbosa? please, do share.

Ive already told you before on multiple occasions, but I'll do so again:

Barbosa is an excellent 6th man for a host of reasons. He's an excellent 3 point shooter, he can get to the basket, he's a good free throw shooter (which helps since Shaq gets the Suns in the penalty a bit earlier these days) he brings a ton of energy and an offensive spark off the bench, he never complains and never stops hustling, what more do you want from a 6th man?

Not to mention he has one of the most reasonable contracts in the league ,what else do you want from the guy? Sure he's not a great decision maker, well guess what, he's not a point guard! Sure he's not an All Star, but so what?

For whatever reason you endlessly bag on the guy, and on the day when the Suns for the first time in a few years make a good trade you bring him up out of the blue just to crap on him, its ridiculous.

he can get to the basket,
and 1/4th of the time he gets to the basket he either gets a charge called on him or tries to bailout and throws a terrible pass. thats not counting the infinite layups he blows.

yes and youd think with all that speed, quickness and energy hed be able to stay in front of his man JUST ONCE!!!!!! the sad thing is his lack of D isnt even what i really care about. its the decision making that MADNING.

so because hes a SG he doesnt have to be a good decision maker? im not talking about running an offense so much as when to pull up instead of put your head down and bull in to 3 guys, or HEY keep your head up while you drive so you dont have to make those crazy bail out passes .2 seconds before you come down with the ball. I could care less if hes an all star, i dont know why you even threw that up there.

take a look at this

hes being outscored this year by 42 points. so basically his super scoring is moot.
best 5 man team production - barbosas first appearance is on the 4th spot....along with dragic. not sure if that means a whole lot but..dragic is on the same list, thats got to be some kind of downer.

Barbs has to improve on a few things like awareness & defense but he hasn't been taught these things.
His scoring ability & hustle is as vital to this team as ever.
He missed training camp for Gods sake....give 'em a chance to show that he can become a better all around player under the current regime.

I think Barbosa is playing better now. He's a gimmick player, and if you already have a good starting SG and a decent back up point, I think Barbosa is useful. He comes in, hopefully generates some offense and goes back to the bench.

Give it a rest. You're the kind of person that tries to find the worst in everything, when there are a lot worse things to worry about.

Barbosa is the next move, but im not sure it happens this season.

Barbosa doesnt fit it, and I think the Suns can get some good role players for him. Essentially the move for Richardson pretty much ends any debate that Nash or Amare might be traded.

I think if you'd have watched barbs with an unbiased eye since he came back from Brazil this season you'd see some improvement on the decision making and a clear willingness to learn and adapt. He's been cuddled by the Dantonis for the past few seasons so give him a chance to show he can adapt this season.

Barbosa has improved a lot this season, both on defense and, at least in the last two games, on offense. He is not letting people drive by him as easily now and better aware at intercepting passes. On offense, he passes a lot earlier now and reduced boneheaded drives leading to turnovers.

Instant offense off the bench. Which is quite different from being the backup "2" Guard or closing games.

Unfortunately, he's been used for more than that. Which is why he's criticized.

Your point is right on, SirStefan. But will the Suns, even Terry Porter, use him that way? If Leandro stays, I hope so.
