Coach Mac? Or was it Buddy? Didn't Hank Kuhlmann come in to serve as interim coach?

Buddy got fired during the season, remember he walked off the field early on a MNF game, the axe man came after that one.

Tobin too, that was the last time our DC got the job, which is why I'm not excited about Horton.

Sigh.

That game where Buddy walked off was the last game of the season.

Tobin got canned mid season. Stallings resigned mid season. Wilkinson quit during the season.

The Cards lost 13 of 16 games after Tobin was fired. Of course they were getting hammered before he was fired as well. Coach 0-12 now has a 3-15 run and an 0-9 run and the worst loss in Cardinal history on his resume to go along with being the only coach to take the Cards to the SB.

You gotta love Cardinals football.

I like Whisenhunt, alot. But 9 game losing streaks that end in a 58-0 loss... no coach survives this. He's gone tomorrow. Uuugh.

had this talk with a friend of mine that's also a diehard fan earlier. Whiz did more with this team than any coach ever. No matter what is happening now. But he lost the team. He's done. I'll never forget, and always appreciate what he's done. But it's checkout time...

He will make it to the end of the season...unless he follows up this loss with a home loss where the team looks equally inept.

He's gone alright, but at this point, I wouldn't know what to do if I were management. The team has clearly quit on him, but I wouldn't want to saddle an interim coach with this mess, especially if it's somebody like Horton, who I might consider hiring to be my head coach next year. How, for example, would Horton improve the QB play? He can't and because of that we're most likely going to lose our next three games regardless of who coaches. Still, at this point, it might be best to make a change just for the sake of making a change. Who the F knows. What a mess.

So instead of horrific QB play we simply get mediocre? That won't change much in the grand scheme of things.

And only mediocre for about 5 games before Kolb gets hurt again.

I don't see Kolb returning this year or next. We were 4-0 with him, but he isn't the answer either. Statistically speaking, I'm pretty sure that we were still one of the worst offenses in the league when he was the QB.

Kolb's last game this season: 14-26-128 yards 1TD and 1 interception. Normally that would look poor but compared to what we've seen the last few weeks it looks awesome.

The game before that Kolb helped guide the Cards to 3 points against the Rams.

Seasons over leave him in the training room so maybe he'll be healthy enough to be a backup next season.

I think Miller will be canned tomorrow, and Whis will take over playcalling for the rest of the year. It will be a bunch of nonsense, but I just don't think we've seen the last of Whis. Unfortunately.

Isn't he due $8 million next year? If so, that's way too much to pay a backup. We need to cut our loses with this guy. He's brittle.

A couple of things to consider:

The season is already FUBAR.

We've already dug deep into the bottom of our 53 man roster, so most of our scrubs are already getting game experience.

So why can Wiz now?

Because sometimes an organization performs so awfully that you have to apply a meat axe if for no other reason than to uphold the morality and high standards of the organization.

58 to 0 is a pretty good poster child for awful.

I would fire Whiz today and name Grimm interim head coach only to fire his ass next week and name Miller the interim coach then fire him at the end of the season. Three firings in three weeks. Another record for the Cardinals.:D
