I dig Dushku...I'll probably watch it just for that reason.

Another Joss Whedon show on the air. There is a TV GOD. Plus there are rumors swirling about the possibility of a Serenity sequel. All is starting to be right in the world.

I'm fairly certain I read a recent interview in which Whedon referred to these rumors as a terrible internet myth. Serenity's profit margin is ridiculously upside down when considering its small but loyal core fans. Firefly is dead in any form. I advise just putting it out of your mind for good.

I am so stoked. Just a word those though expecting typical Joss flavor....he said in an interview that the first few episodes are not his typical type episodes. The network made him write more generic type "hook" episodes to try and get a general audience in the door. Supposedly, the more typical Joss story arc flavor kicks after the first few. The network is making him cater to the general audience before the Whedon fans.

You can watch it on Fox.com - probably Hulu too.

Interesting premise - good first episode - they didn't take the totally predictable path with the plot of the first one.

Looking forward to next week...

The pilot was okay. I'm glad someone mentioned how Whedon had to compromise on the first few episodes, because that means it should get better. It was a little bit in the arena of throwing spaghetti on the wall to see what sticks, and in random order at that. Still, the key plot points seem interesting, and for the most part I like the actors (especially Eliza--good actress and YUM!). I also have faith in Joss Whedon. I'll definitely give this a few more weeks.

Also, anyone else notice the Battlestar Galactica love? One of the main characters was on the show (as Helo), and a reference was made to Edward James Olmos, who starred as Admiral Adama. Priceless!

I thought the lead actress was pretty horrible in this. But, I'll keep watching. Whedon has yet to disappoint me in any medium.

Is Amy Acker supposed to be a regular. I sure hope so.

I like the premise of the show a lot. It can go so many places, but that can also be dangerous though, a fine line has to be walked.

Also glad to hear about Joss and the first few episodes thing. Just didnt seem to have the style, quarkiness, or dark undertones of a Joss type show.

2nd episode was MUCH better than the first. Although I understand that this is actually episode 4, not 2. Apparently some of the Paul Ballard scenes were recut, shuffled or removed to make up for it.

It was much better than the pilot, though still not good enough to hook me. Great line, though, when he asks if she knows how to use a gun: "I have four brothers, and none of them are Democrats".

I'm giving this two more episodes, since they said Whedon had to do the first 2 or 3 as standard fare. It was better this week, but it still needs to step it up a notch. What do you mean, Chap, that this was 4 and not 2?

Episodes are numbered. The Pilot is usually #101 or #100. This 2nd episode was actually #104, not #102. Some shows do this, especially shows that aren't dependent on a mythology (it would be impossible for Lost to do it).

I will say this past episode of Dollhouse was better than 90% of the episodes of Fringe.

Man, Fringe started out interesting to me, but it went absolutely nowhere. Huge disappointment. I'm hoping these episodes keep getting better. The only reason I stuck after the first one was because of Joss Whedon. The second was much better. I need the next one to be just as much an improvement, because the show hasn't hooked me. Yet.

Better then the pilot. Thinking over the next few episodes that things will go up a notch.

PS. You guys are bagging on Fringe. I actually like that show.

Hey, I loved Fringe for the first 3-4 episodes. I didn't like that it didn't seem to go anywhere, and one week I didn't watch the recorded episode. Pretty soon, I realized it was two months later, I hadn't watched any of the episodes, and I didn't care to.

Ok ep. Not great, but at least the show has the components to have stand alone shows like this one that are watchable (as opposed to Terminator right now).

I watched this show originally just to see how stupid it would be. I have to admit though, it's won me over so far. It's actually pretty clever, I make an effort to watch it now when I can. Hopefully it continues to get better as time goes on.

These next 3 or 4 episodes is make or break time for me.
