I've already lost interest. It's the first thing that Whedon has disappointed me with...I think this whole thing is really unoriginal.

These next 3 or 4 episodes is make or break time for me.

Ditto. Pariah, give it a few more episodes. It was reported that Whedon got the show he wanted, but had to make the first 3 or 4 episodes into more standard-type TV shows. After that, he's supposedly going to be allowed to get really creative.

Firefly it is not (not even close yet)...but interested to see where it goes.

Am curious to see if Whedon ups the number of cast regulars. Both Buffy and Firefly had fairly large casts, which gave him lots of plotlines and vehicles for great dialogue.

I just read in interview with Whedon. It's episode 6 is where Whedon gets more creative freedom from the show. Sounds like typical Fox interference in the first 5 episodes was in full swing.

Tonight's episode was easily the best of the series so far. Better than pretty much anything Heroes has done in 2 years.

My theory for this show..

I think "Alpha" is someone that's on the show already, and that person doesn't even know it. Personally, I think it's Echo's handler. He showed up right after the Alpha thing, and if you remember, Alpha was unable to hurt Echo, who better to reprogram as her handler?

There is one problem with the theory though, why doesn't Topfer recognize him? That part I haven't figured out. I think the doctor with the cuts on her face remembers because she's looked afraid of him more then once. The other problem is he's rather old to have been an active. Who else was in a better position to remotely wipe Echo in that vault though?

Again, pure theory, but I can see this show doing something like this as a surprise factor. One thing they showed last week though is that pretty much anyone could be an active. For all we know the FBI guys is an active, anything is possible which makes this show interesting.

Ep 6 was indeed where Whedon got to be Whedon. Great episode. Really interested to see where he goes with all this.

It took way to many episodes but I finally get to see me some Joss Whedon TV.

Way darker undertones, way more character driven, and more of the flawed characters that Whedonverse fans are used to.

I am loving me some Amy Acker.

Didnt' they show the back of Alpha as he was watching a video of Echo that he was preparing to send to the FBI agent? If so, he is white.

Maybe, I don't remember that though. All I remember them showing is a silhouette and the hand holding the knife when he couldn't kill Echo.

Either way, I believe "Alpha" is a character we have seen already. I might be over thinking it, but that's part of what makes it fun. The show definitely has my interest.

"You have to admit that I am very British" lol

You can definitely tell when this show has turned from formulaic-network TV to something that was more in Whedon's vision. It has my interest (so does Dushku in that dress and stockings from the last episode - YUMMY) and I hope FOX gives it a decent shot of catching on but I'm not sure they will with the timeslot they gave it. Friday nights are where shows go to die

I am soooooooooo glad I stuck with this show. Whomever first mentioned that Whedon wouldn't have free reign until after a few episodes saved it for me, and for that I thank them.
