I believe that Baylor is someone the D'backs hitters will look up to, as will the rest of management.

Bringing in Trammell is a perfect move for Gibson to proceed in setting up the offense in his image. His right hand guy.

With no Major League pitching coach experience, let's hope that Nagy will bring strength to his position as well.

So far, we seem to be moving in the right direction.

What is the right direction? Not having six position players each with over 100 strikeouts. We still need a strong closer. Then it will be up to Kirk Gibson and his staff to make it work.

It will be interesting to see Matt Williams coaching just a few feet from what was his comfort zone for so many years -- 3B. Maybe we will see some solid fielding on foul balls. :)

I agree. Nagy has good minor league experience in organizations that produce solid pitchers (Triple A with the Angels & Indians). Hopefully that translates well to the majors.

I'm really feeling this new coaching staff. I think their experience will be beneficial to the young bats.

On top of things, Trammel and Baylor's managerial past makes them a mentor type to Gibby.

I don't think our bats are young.
