Major League Baseball has a number of issues to grapple with after canceling spring training and delaying the start of the 2020 regular season. Officials are scrambling to figure out a new schedule, how to adjust service time and whether season-long incentives will change if the season has to be shortened. One of the biggest issues, however, revolves around whether players will be paid while the season is on hiatus due to the coronavirus — also known as COVID-19.
