That trade had been rumored for nearly a year before it happened though. This was out of nowhere.

There's a million stories out there already.
Dallas got tired of his being overweight and getting hurt, said they lied about an injury last year to let him work on conditioning and did it again this year. they were afraid to commit to a super max because of his
conditioning, he had ballooned to 260 pounds
That seems to be the most common one but there's also talk Doncic really hated being in Texas and wanted out. THere's been stories for years that his fiance hates it and after they had a child she made it clear she wanted to get out of there.

There's a guy that posts on BRO by the handle of Hurricane westbrook. He's apparently a personal trainer and has all sorts of connections. This offseason he said there were rumblings Dallas was going to trade Luka and the Lakers would probably be in play if they did. and if that happened, LeBron would be a Warrior so that's where the LeBron thing is coming from on that board

That still doesn’t make the Warriors contenders and the Lakers arent taking Wiggins because it messes up their 2027 free agency.

I don't want it to happen I don't want LeBron and Bronny but that's the rumor. I edited the first post there's a guy on BRO who called the Luka trade months ago, before the season started and he's the one that said if it happens look for LeBron to the Warriors.
Apparently he and Steph really would like to play together

yes, that was the last time i thought a trade was far too once-sided to not be shady, and it was the Lakers again.
and it can't just be because Luka is toxic or will be fat, because Dallas could still have gotten more from the Lakers or some other team. Cuban is a Shark (Tank).
there's more to this than meets the eye. I would bet that Luka forced his way to the Lakers but Dallas agreed to keep it quiet.

Second, there has to be more to this. They were concerned about his conditioning? Look, he has some issues but it’s freaking Luka. There had to be some issues behind the scene with him being toxic. Which is not hard to believe from what we have seen on the court.
