Rome is still on? I have not listened to him in a decade.
I was surfing channels the other day and accidentally hit the Jungle, so I've been listening for a few days now. My dad is almost 80 in Vegas and still listens to him all the time, so I was aware that he was still on the air. LOL

the beauty of Luka's power play, is that, unlike Durant's move and Butler's attempted maneuver, Luka is young enough that he made sure his new team has a future he can flourish under by making sure they are not depleted of assets in the trade.

Harrison's comments about the trade haven't helped.
yeah his press conference was beyond strange. he said he would be buried in 10 years. and watching him say that J-kidd didn't know about the trade, but he and J-Kidd are aligned as one. he's getting fleeced by dallas fans and media. I can't wait til a couple of weeks from now when Dirk will be sitting on a roundtable as a special guest for 1310 the ticket's annual fan fest. I imagine a lot of the discussion will be about this.

I don't think he survives through the 26 season.

REPORT: Luka Dončić apparently bought a $15 million house in Dallas last week and reportedly cried when he found out the Mavericks traded him, per Chandler Parsons.
you mean, cried tears of joy!

"report?" "apparently?"

brilliant PR to, coincidentally, buy a house in Dallas the week before. If he loses a couple million in the flip (he won't) the cover it provides is well worth the investment. His PR statement was brilliant too. Yes, sir they know what they're doing these days. Doncic jerseys are flyin out the door.

Imagine if the Suns had traded Booker to the Lakers for an underwhelming return the season after our Finals run.

Dallas writer Tim McMahon is reporting that Luka has shot up to nearly 270 pounds.

I think we’re going to hear a lot of really ugly Dončić stories over the next few days.

Reports going around today that Luka has a drinking problem.

The Mavs organization is trying to absolutely bury him.

I have not seen a franchise drag a player like this since every single move the Dbacks made under Kevin Towers.

One of the claims I saw today is the new owner Adelson didn't want to pay him the supermax contract and Harrison played a large role in convincing her and her sons it was a bad idea to commit that much money to him with his "issues."

So I've now seen he didn't want to commit to them because of his fiancee not liking Dallas and in particular the new owner, and them not wanting to commit to him.

Unless Harrison is just a complete moron there's obviously something there, you don't trade a guy that good(on offense) at that age for what they got.

One of the ESPN articles basically said the Lakers were sworn to secrecy when Dallas contacted them because if word had gotten out the rest of the owners would have complained to the commissioner like they did in the Chris Paul to Lakers trade.

NBA should, but won't squash this one. They LOOOOOOOVE this.
Don't presume the Mavericks are just head in the wall stupid. Maybe this guy is just falling apart and they would be the ones in a position to know.

This trade cost Doncic $116 million because he can no longer get the supermax deal he was eligible for in Dallas. And he bought the $15 million house in Dallas, too, and has to deal with that. AD's house in L.A. is worth $31 million so they can't even do a straight house swap. Plus, he is going from a state with no personal income tax to one with the highest personal income tax in the country. Ouch.

I think Luka will do fine though. More commercials, the limelight, etc. As long as he keeps his health in check and puts in the work it is a great opportunity for him, especially being only 25 years old. I bet he'll be a monster whenever he faces his old team.

That's why all this conspiracy talk is so stupid. Luka would be in on it and nobody leaves $116 million on the table and buys a new house if he is scheming to get to the Lakers. Having said that, the Mavs are idiots. They were robbed blind by the Lakers. They could have gotten a ton more on the open market.

Even from the Lakers, they could've and should've gotten Reeves, Knecht, the 2031 first, and swaps included. Like the Lakers would have balked. It's really mind blowing that the Lakers stumble into this.

when the red sox traded babe ruth to the yankees the commissioner stayed the hell out of it - because it wasn't his fault the red sox were that stupid - and because it would benefit the league

people talk about craziest trades ever - that's the only one that comes close imo
