"Washington, who is projected as a first- or second-round pick, weighed 323 pounds and had 40-yard dash times of 5.0 and 4.96 seconds. That was a slight improvement from his times of 5.08 and 5.02 at the NFL Combine in February."

(Got off KFFL draft message board link into South Carolina (Clemson) newspaper article.)

Interesting as he could be the Cards pick at #33. He is 6' 6" and wighs 323 lbs.

Arkansas players had a workout for the NFL draft this week at the U. of Arkansas. Sean Andrews weighed in at a swvelt 345 lbs and wowed the NFL scouts. He lost over 50 lbs while working out in AZ he will be moving up. Cedric Cobbs ran a 4.45 at 232 lbs and looked very good to the scouts. I would like to get this guy in round 3 or 4.

I would be pleased if this was our second round pick. Dline is a huge need and this guy fits the bill. Plus, dude is fast for a big man.

For some reason many of the "experts" rate him boom or bust. I guess that means that if he gets drafted by another team it's boom but if the Cardinals draft him..................

Been thinking the same thing... Hopefully the new coaching staff will change that.

John - Cobbs is said to have had off-field "issues." You're closest to the situation. What were they? How serious were they? Were there extenuating circumstances in your view?

I really think the off the field issues are being overstated.....He was busted for driving while smoking pot on his birthday. I'm not defending his actions on that night, but he has been tested regularly ever since then. And as far as I know, that is his only off the field issue. Of course, there have been several "off the field issues" here at Arkansas, so John may know of another Cobbs incident that I forgot.

My concern about Cobbs is his inability to stay healthy. After a promising freshman season, he had a season ending shoulder injury in the 2nd game of his sophomore season. He has also had a nagging hamstring problem which caused him to miss a couple of games this past season & which caused him to post a 4.7 40 at the combine.

But I still think he is worth taking a risk on in the 3-4 rounds. I don't think I am being a homer here, I am usually not too high on other Razorbacks potential in the NFL, but if Cobbs can stay healthy, I honestly believe that he could easily be the best RB in this draft.
